    Nigel Reo-Coker
Former West Ham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

This is a big few weeks for Fulham. The vultures are circling over the likes of Ryan Sessegnon - but they've still got a chance to go up via the play-offs.

The difficult thing for the manager is picking these players up now. They've had a great season so far - but they'll have to settle for the play-offs.

  8. Postpublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 6 May 2018

    Cardiff 0-0 Reading

So if it stays like that at Birmingham, Cardiff will go up even if they lose against Reading.

Fulham have a mountain to climb if they want to earn automatic promotion now, and Cardiff are heading up.

What a scoreline for Birmingham too, who knew they could go down today if they lost and other results went against them.

Cardiff 0-0 Reading; Birmingham 1-0 Fulham

The Cardiff fans in the stands seem to think Birmingham have scored again.

But we can assure you, they haven't. It's still 1-0 to the Blues against Fulham - which is nevertheless good news for the Bluebirds.

That's not particularly unusual on these decisive days, for misinformation to spread as whispered messages go around the grounds of course.

Millwall have broken the deadlock against Aston Villa via a Shaun Williams penalty, after Henri Lansbury brought Jed Wallace down inside the box.

Millwall would need a real football miracle to gatecrash the play-offs, though - a nine-goal swing and two other results to go their way.

    Derby 1-0 Barnsley

Derby County have been forced into a change before half-time as Marcus Olsson hobbles off.

Tom Lawrence finds him in the area, but he can't keep his shot under the bar.

    Birmingham 1-0 Fulham

Birmingham appear to have saved one of their best performances of the season until last, on this first-half showing.

They could be 2-0 up, as Jacques Maghoma and Lukas Jutkiewicz combine, but the latter can't quite reach it as he slides in.

He's already scored once though, and it was a big goal at both ends of the table.
