    Huddersfield 0-0 Watford

Still Huddersfield patiently probe, still Watford look like nicking one on the counter.

Will we see a breakthrough before 45 minutes are out?

    Swansea 0-0 Everton

By contrast to all the excitement in south London, it's been a very tame affair in Swansea. They had two great chances early on but since then there's been little to speak about. Everton aren't exactly setting it alight either.

Wilfried Zaha has been irresistible so far this afternoon - his contribution not just the goals but the impact his attacking play has had on the Brighton defence. He’s just led them a merry dance with some amazing wizardry. No wonder the Palace team are so much stronger with their talisman in the side.

Izquierdo took that goal brilliantly. He opened his body out and played it into the far corner. They've had so few attacking opportunities but have found themselves with two goals. What a game!

    Jose Izquierdo (34 mins)

What a game, what a goal. Jose Izquierdo fires Brighton right back in it, meeting Jurgen Locadia's little thread-through with a sublime curled finish into the bottom corner. Great strike.

FIVE goals in under 35 minutes. Could we have asked for more?

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Huddersfield 0-0 Watford

Roberto Pereyra's having a bad afternoon too. Two corners knocked straight out of play and now he goes in the book for diving. Blatant.

  8. Postpublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Burnley 2-0 Leicester

There was a first Premier League start for the superbly coiffed Hamza Choudhury in Leicester's midfield today, he's having a tricky time of it. Burnley have blown the Foxes away early on here - they look good for their two-goal lead.

Evan Pritchard: Of all the matches I could be watching, I definitely made the right choice with Palace v Brighton. Has the makings of an instant classic.

Mic Medeska: I don't even like Zaha, but he'd be starting in my World Cup team if I had to pick players based on form. Been the best English winger in the league since Jan. (If he wasn't representing the Ivory Coast that is)

JavelBleach: Lol, zapping between Palace & Barca in the same strips. I keep thinking it's Barca that have scored the 3 goals!!

Oooh! Troy Deeney smashes a shot on goal that is just deflected wide of the Huddersfield post.

    Crystal Palace 3-1 Brighton

Incredibly that third Palace strike was Wilfried Zaha's first ever headed goal in the English top flight - and he's got his first ever Premier League double, too.

Any way back for Brighton here? If they've been snoozing at the back this will have roused them.

    Swansea 0-0 Everton

Swansea may have thrown away a hatful of chances already but they are still on top for large spells here - still positive in their play.

Everton are yet to conjure a shot on target.

  13. CHANCE!published at 15:26 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Burnley 2-0 Leicester

The first real sight of goal sees Jamie Vardy fluff a header badly at the far post. Not a brilliant opening but he really should have done better.

    Crystal Palace 3-1 Brighton

    David Pleat

He took that absolutely brilliantly and Brighton once again were sleeping. There was no challenge on the ball when it came in. Zaha snuck in between Schelotto and Duffy and met Milivojevic's lovely flighted ball with a header into the corner. Two-goal lead restored!

    Wilfried Zaha (24 mins)

This is an absolute classic! Palace punch back as Wilfried Zaha rises acrobatically, launching himself high to nod in Luka Milivojevic's lovely cross, Mat Ryan beaten by a powerful low header.

    Swansea 0-0 Everton

Swansea's Jordan AyewImage source, Getty Images

How Swansea have failed to score here is beyond me. First there is an overload - four players against three - and Jordan Ayew's low shirt squirms through Leighton Baines' legs and wide for a corner.

That comes in and Cenk Tosun scrambles to clear a header off his line! The game suddenly blown right open - but no crucial breakthrough yet.

  19. 'Game hinging on set pieces'published at 15:21 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Crystal Palace 2-1 Brighton

    Stephen Warnock
    Ex-Liverpool defender on Final Score

it's incredible. The game is hinging on set pieces, which you would have thought both teams would be great on. Great finish from Glen Murray from a couple yards out.

  20. 'Too easy'published at 18 mins

    Crystal Palace 2-1 Brighton

    David Pleat
Former Tottenham manager on BBC Radio 5 live

We've had five corners and three goals straight from them. How players can escape at corners when they're being so tightly marked will need to be analysed by Palace and Brighton later as it's been too easy to score so far.

Chris Hughton will be pleased and now Brighton seem to have calmed down.
