Mauricio Pochettino on Michel Vorm: "One year ago he got injured before the game [semi-final defeat to Chelsea] and he could not play.Today I think he deserves, he is a great guy and we trust in him."

On having 'home advantage' by playing at Wembley: "No because we are in a different changing room, we share stadium 50-50 with fans. It is a semi-final, it is impossible to have an advantage."

Man Utd v Spurs (17:15 BST)

Manchester City have three players on the six-man shortlist for the Professional Footballers' Association Players' Player of the Year - but who gets your vote?

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and Tottenham striker Harry Kane, the top flight's leading goalscorers, are also nominated.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea completes the shortlist.

Our vote is open until 08:00 BST on Sunday. The official winner of the PFA award will be announced later on Sunday.

  4. 'Difficult to call'published at 17:04 British Summer Time 21 April 2018

Manchester United v Tottenham (17:15 BST)

    Alan Shearer
Former Newcastle striker on BBC One

We could be in for a cracker. It is very difficult to call.

From a Tottenham point of view, Mauricio Pochettino says it is not a must-win game but it is a must-win game. They have lost seven FA Cup semi-finals and too many times they have fallen at the final hurdle.

From a Manchester United point of view, if they go from sixth to second from last season in the Premier League and win an FA Cup it would be a successful season.

Winning the FA Cup would just be a consolation for Manchester United, but for Tottenham it would mean much, much more.

It would be a reward for the progress they have made under Mauricio Pochettino and also a monkey off their back.

Personally, I do not judge Pochettino or what he has done at Spurs in terms of trophies but, if you do, there is always going to be a question mark over him until he wins one.

As often happens, we have a semi-final that many would have liked for the final itself, with a real feeling of 'all or nothing'.

Mauricio Pochettino may ultimately be right with his repeated assertions that winning the cup won't take Spurs to "a different level", but as his opposite number would tell us, you can't underestimate the importance of winning that first silverware.

It would even be significant for them to lay the bogey of seven successive semi-final defeats.

Jose Mourinho has stressed his record as a winner this week, and how he'd dearly love to win a third trophy* in two seasons at United. Maybe that would put their supposed 'travails' in a bit of perspective?

*The Community Shield makes it four.

    Who loves scoring at Wembley?

    These two.

Alexis Sanchez has seven goals under the arch, while Jesse Lingard loves a big goal on a big occasion at Wembley.

He has scored here in the FA Cup final, Community Shield and League Cup final.

Obviously Spurs have plenty of players with an eye for a goal at Wembley in Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min.

Joining Gary Lineker at Wembley are ex-Newcastle striker Alan Shearer, former United defender Philip Neville and ex-Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas.

Amazingly only one of the trio has an FA Cup to his name, three in fact. That is England women's coach Neville.

  9. Wembley test of strengthpublished at 16:48 British Summer Time 21 April 2018

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

Manchester United and Tottenham are out warming up at Wembley. The sunshine has given way to clouds and rain. The conditions are muggy and humid, the sort that will provide a real test of strength.

Some eyebrows raised that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has ignored the claims of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford - but he may feel their raw pace is a weapon best utilised later in what will surely be a fiercely-competitive and intense FA Cup semi-final.

laurent gerxhalija: Strong lineup today from Mourinho. No excuses if we lose, but should Rashford have started instead of Alexis. Never mind, this will be a time for Alexis to prove himself in the biggest of games.

First job when you arrive at the top of the steps at Wembley Park tube station is a photo of the Wembley arch, although I suspect most of the fans taking selfies there today are Manchester United supporters - if you follow Spurs then the novelty will have worn off a while ago.

Another Wembley tradition - the dozens of ticket touts - are waiting for you at the bottom of the steps, at the start of Wembley Way. Fight your way through them, negotiate the people selling half-and-half scarves... and you have made it.

One thing was missing from my walk to the stadium, though, the chance to buy a hotdog for £12.

The area around Wembley is undergoing some serious gentrification and amongst the hotels and plush apartments which are taking shape, you are more likely to find a coffee shop as you make your way to the ground than a kiosk selling over-priced greasy food.

    The game has gone.

  19. Spurs' home advantage?published at 16:08 British Summer Time 21 April 2018

This is Tottenham's first appearance at Wembley since....seven days ago.

Spurs have made the stadium their home this season as White Hart Lane is redeveloped.

So should the game have been played at a neutral venue?

In an odd twist, it is actually Manchester United who are the 'home team' today, so Spurs move to the away dressing room.

Mourinho doesn't think it makes a difference, he said: "I think when you go to these big moments with these big decisions, semi-finals, finals, I don't think it's an advantage.

"Sometimes it's at home, sometimes it's away. This time it's away, but I don't see any advantage. For me it's the same as playing at Old Trafford."

  20. Who starts?published at 16:03 British Summer Time 21 April 2018

Jose Mourinho threatened to drop players for the semi-final after last Sunday's horror show against West Brom.

He made seven changes for their midweek victory over Bournemouth in midweek. After the game Mourinho confirmed that all three of Antonio Valencia, Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku would return to the starting line-up at Wembley.

Tottenham made six changes of their own in a 1-1 draw with Brighton last Tuesday night, including resting Dele Alli and Davinson Sanchez from the squad completely.

Mauricio Pochettino must decide whether to pick regular FA Cup goalkeeper Michel Vorm or revert back to number one Hugo Lloris.

We should find out in less than 15 minutes.
