I think Jurgen Klopp will be pleased with the first half, apart from a few late warnings where they have lacked a little concentration and you could see how Real can get in.

Another chance for Real as Karim Benzema lashes a shot just wide from 25 yards. Loris Karius had it covered.

Can't remember ever seeing Benzema score from that distance.

Real have a corner which Andy Robertson heads clear. Liverpool just want to hear the half-time whistle.

Real are definitely ending this half on top. Substitute Nacho goes close to the opening goal as he hits a wonderful volley from Isco's pass into the side-netting.

Great build up play from Real Madrid, they work it ever so well. Ronaldo was actually offside, he should have scored with the header anyway before Benzema put it in.
