Just look at how Spain score their goals compared to Portugal. It's men and boys in that respect, but the boys seem to be having their fair share of luck.

Remember the subdued atmosphere at the beginning of the second half? Not a bit of it. They can hear the noise in space.

Isco is brilliant again, and his quick feet are so hard to defend against. When it falls to Nacho we didn't expect that. It was technically perfect and he has made amends for his error earlier in the game.

It was excellent work down the left from Isco once more, with the ball eventually finding its way across to Nacho.

He hadf to hit down on the volley, which is so hard to do. Mere mortals would have hit the corner flag.

Cristiano Ronaldo looks angry enough to combust.

Ash Williams: There we go. Spain players working together. Far too simple. What w strike by Nacho

Incredible. Nacho Fernandez couldn't have asked for more, a spellbinding strike that could totally change Spain's tournament. What a relief for him too after his awful challenge for the penalty and opening goal.

What a goal! Best of the game for me.

What a strike, keeper has absolutely no chance. Spain have deserved it the way they have started the second half.

    What a hit!

Spain lead through Nacho, who has rocketed one from the edge of the penalty box.

He makes amends for giving away the first-half penalty, swinging his right foot through a bouncing ball, nestling it into the net off the port.

    Incredible game.

    Portugal 2-2 Spain

On the balance of play, you have to say that Spain are good value to be at least level. They had most of the first half, and conceded to a penalty and a goober. David de Gea looks relieved. You fancy Spain from here...

Well worked free kick. Sergio Busquets out-jumps everyone and Costa gets there to tap in. Portugal didn't do their job defensively.

It's a good header back across by Sergio Busquets at the far post, and that is exactly where you want your striker. It's just what Spain needed and it has come from nothing.

Off the training ground! Spain magic something from the free-kick and we are all square once more.

It's a delightful, teasing ball from David Silva, with Sergio Busquets rising at the back post. He nods down to Diego Costa, who can't miss.

Portugal are having to work hard but their back four is well organised and they are proving tough to play through.

Portugal are defending on the edge of their box, as if that is the line that shall not be breached. Spain look for width, Isco seems to have switched from the left to the right. The second half has been a phoney war so far.

The pace is slower than the first period. That suits Portugal. Less chasing. Spain are ponderous, being crowded when they have the ball.

The pitch isn't perfect. There are a few areas that have been heavily watered so it's a bit slippy. The scrappier the better for Portugal.

Ronaldo off and running again, being shadowed by his mate Sergio Ramos. It's slippery, plenty of players ending up on the turf. When a shot comes in from distance, David de Gea is relieved to not have to make a save.

It think in the Spain dressing room they would have had a go at each other about the tempo and playing better. Not saying arguing but a heated discussion.
