Diego Costa, take a bow. He doesn't look pleased to be coming off, but his two goals have done the job for Spain tonight. Iago Aspas is on.

Has it just lost a yard of pace? Have they finally taken the foot off the gas? Cristiano Ronaldo, almost a spectator in the second half, finds a little space. When the ball ends up the right, Ricardo Quaresma looks for an audacious volley at a bouncing ball. Outside of the right foot, just dipping over the bar.

Can this one go on all night, please? I tell you what, scrap Peru-Denmark tomorrow and let these two play each other again.

Iniesta has done some fantastic things in the game, but it has livened up and they need more legs. Thiago is also great on the ball, and has got a good engine.

Portugal flicker. The ball bounces around the Spain box, a bit of head tennis. Ronaldo is in there, but it's cleared.

Andres Iniesta has tired a bit in the second half but he has been great again for Spain tonight. Another wonderfully gifted player with great feet and a great range of passing.

Give Portugal credit, they have hustled, tried to win the ball back. They've not used it well though, and are fouling too much.

Diego Costa for the hat-trick? Spain again down the left, but Costa fluffs his lines when the ball is pulled back.

More changes. The brilliant Andres Iniesta goes off, on comes Thiago Alcantara. Portugal also make another switch. Ricardo Quaresma for Bernardo Silva.

There was a time in the first half when it seemed like the game needed two balls. One for Cristiano Ronaldo, one for everyone else. He scored twice. Since half-time, he's barely had a touch.

Eventually the ball goes off and Portugal can make the switch. Bruno Fernandes off, Joao Mario on.

Enough of a break for us to see the Spain equaliser again...

Portugal are preparing to make a change. For once, they have the ball, but are being met by a white defensive barrier. Spain aren't just busy with the ball, they crowd you when they don't have it.

Oh, this is good. Spain are flowing, melted chocolate stuff. Slow, then quick, death by a thousand passes. Portugal won't get back in this if they can't get the ball.
