A last throw of the dice for Costa Rica maybe a few moments ago with Daniel Colindres, a tricky winger on in place of David Guzman.

Serbia have been under the cosh for a while but at last they break free of the Costa Rica pressure.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic strides forward and unloads one from 20-yards or so but that's finished well wide of the target.

Seconds later Aleksandar Mitrovic is so unfortunate to not turn the ball in after a well worked move down the right. There's no shutting up shop here.

Is Arsenal forward Joel Campbell the man to pull this game out of the fire for Costa Rica.

The 25-year-old has only made 40 appearances for the Gunners since joining in 2011, and has since been out on loan with five different clubs.

But he looked outstanding Northern Ireland in Costa Rica's recent warm-up match and his pace should test Serbia's defence.

Amid all the excitement after the goal Costa Rica have decided add a bit more experience from their 2014 World Cup finals campaign by replacing Johan Venegas with Christian Bolanos - who started four times in Brazil.

They've also just introduced Joel Campbell for Marco Urena.

Free-kicks are proving rather more successful at this World Cup than the one in Brazil four years ago.

Aleksandar Kolarov's goal was the third scored from a direct free-kick in this tournament, already as many as the entirety of the 2014 competition.

This is within shooting range for Aleksandar Kolarov.

The momentum appears with Serbia at the moment as Aleksandar Mitrovic charges forward and wins a free-kick from David Guzman, who is booked.
