South Korea 2-0 Germany
England are now just the fourth favourites to win the World Cup.
The Three Lions have been cut from 10-1 into just 17-2, and are now fancied more than France and Argentina.
That’s the first time this World Cup that England have been bigger favourites than France, who have drifted to 10-1 for the tournament.
Since Germany’s exit, Gareth Southgate’s men have been the most popular bet in the outright winner market, attracting 56% of all bets on the eventual victor.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: “England fans will always rejoice an early exit for the Germans in a major tournament, and the fact that Southgate's men are looking like hopefuls themselves is a huge bonus.
“England's route to the final will now be clear of a penalty shootout loss to the old enemy.”
