Tunisia then have a penalty appeal as Naim Sliti goes over the challenge of Edgar Barcenas. It's one of those where the attacker leaves his foot dangling to initiate contact with the defender and, in my view, referee Nawaf Shukralla is right not to give it. The VAR system would have looked at it too, and the video officials clearly agree.

Now a chance for Panama - it's a cracking game this, now. Tunisia keeper Aymen Mathlouthi vcan't gather a cross under pressure from Luis Tejada, and takes the ball smack in the face as Edgar Barcenas fires the loose ball goalwards.

Mathlouthi is down injured for a moment - and remember, Tunisia do not have any more fit goalkeepers. However, he is able to continue after treatment, and so goalscorer Fakhreddine Ben Youssef will not have to go in goal.

The game has become stretched since Tunisia's equaliser, and the arrival of Luis Tejada to replace Roman Torres for Panama. Wahbi Khazri makes a break down what used to be known as the inside right channel, but lacks support and fires a tame angled shot straight at goalkeeper Jaime Penedo.

Just seen the statistic for the total number of passes so far. Tunisia have played 386, Panama 122. It's going to have to be some effort for Panama to get something out of this game,

Roman Torres, sadly, is unable to continue after being injured in that incident, and the centre-back is replaced by Luis Tejada - Panama's joint all-time leading scorer. Tejada has indicated he will retire after this tournament. What price a goalscoring send-off?

Great chance immediately for Tunisia to go back in front. Wahbi Khazri outmuscles Roman Torres, with the Panama captain falling to the floor injured. The ball breaks for Fakhreddine Ben Youssef, who should score - but keeper Jaime Penedo sticks out a foot to divert the ball over.

There's been a goal in the other Group G game, meaning it's now almost as interesting as this one. Adnan Januzaj has given Belgium the lead over England in Kaliningrad. "Januzaj?!" goes the surprised shout around me.

Hamdi Nagguez, the Tunisia right-back, makes an attacking surge down the right past Luis Ovalle, and looks to be trying to pick out Wahbi Khazri in the middle, but the cross isn't quite on the money, and Panama clear.

Both sides have made a change at half-time. Anice Badri has replaced Ferjani Sassi for Tunisia in a midfield swap, while defender Harold Cummings is on for Panama, replacing striker Gabriel Torres. Fidel Escobar has gone into midfield in a tactical switcharound.

Actually, if you're going to compile a list of World Cup own goals, this one from the Switzerland-Costa Rica game last night would take some beating. I feel sorry for Yann Sommer, the Swiss keeper.

Confirmation at half-time that the only goal so far has been debited to Tunisia defender Yassine Meriah. It is the 50th own goal in World Cup finals history and the ninth of this tournament.
