  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 44 mins

    Panama 1-0 Tunisia

First yellow card of the game, as Ferjani Sassi, Tunisia's penalty scorer against England, hacks down Jose Luis Rodriguez in full flight. Not that yellow cards are quite as important here as they are in Kaliningrad tonight.

Oussama Haddadi is getting so much space down the left for Tunisia at the moment - and Panama do not look comfortable defending his crosses. This one sails over everyone in the middle towards Wahbi Kahzi beyond the far past, 15 yards out, but team-mate Ghilane Chaalali runs across his path and the volley sails over. Khazri's expression of despair will be a familiar one to Sunderland fans.

Opta: Panama’s goal means this is the first ever World Cup in which every side has scored at least twice.

    Panama 1-0 Tunisia

Ooh, but Tunisia should be level. Oussama Haddadi, making his first competitive start for Tunisia, gets forward from left-back and delivers a lovely cross, which Fakhreddine Ben Youssef glances wide from eight yards.

Well, they may be going home, but this would be some way to go out for Panama. They're in front at a World Cup finals for the first time, and they have defended pretty solidly so far.

  8. goal

GOAL - Panama 1-0 Tunisiapublished at 33 mins

    Jose Luis Rodriguez

Feel for me no longer. Panama lead! Roman Torres has a shot blocked and the ball runs loose to Jose Luis Rodriguez. He wallops one goalwards from 25 yards, and it takes a huge deflection off Yassine Meriah to leave goalkeeper Aymen Mathlouthi wrongfooted.

It would be Rodriguez's first international goal - but the suggestion is that it will be debited to Meriah. We'll sort that one out later.

Joe Speight and Iain Dowie, the commentary team putting in an heroic shift on ITV4, are now trying to fill air by talking about a five-a-side match they will be playing tomorrow. Dowie was a fine striker in his day, although when he was at West Ham, he did once score one of the greatest own goals of all time in a League Cup tie at Stockport. Well worth seeking out on Youtube if you get chance.

Tunisia dominating the possession - but they've managed only one shot on target so far. Panama haven't managed any yet.

Tunisia midfielder Ghilane Chaalali goes sliding in on Panama's Edgar Barcenas - it's a clear foul that hacks his man to the ground, and there's a talking to from referee Nawaf Shukralla. Nothing more, though.

Great diagonal ball over the top from Ellyes Skhiri for Tunisia, and Naim Sliti should probably make a better connection as he meets it 15 yards from goal. Instead, he only gets a flick with the foot, and it runs through and out of danger.

Wahbi Khazri works a corner short, and eventually delivers a cross from the right. Yassine Meriah jumps for it but doesn't connect, and the ball actually bounces off Panama midfielder Anibal Godoy and through to his own goalkeeper. No real panic for Panama there.

Right on cue, Khazri makes a clever run down the left and cuts back for Fakhreddine Ben Youssef, whose first-time shot is blocked by Fidel Escobar.

    Panama 0-0 Tunisia

Wahbi Khazri is still, technically, a Sunderland player, although probably not for much longer, as he chases a permanent move to France. He looked a more confident player last season after being converted into a striker while on loan at Rennes, and he has certainly had his lively moments at this World Cup, including a goal against Belgium last Saturday.

...Panama deal with it comfortably enough, and break. Tunisia, though, are quick to track back, and the move slows to a near-halt, before Gabriel Torres is caught offside from a long ball.
