This is the most staggering World Cup ever. Credit to Belgium, 2-0 down they were out of this competition. Is this the sign of a champion a comeback like that?

That is an absolutely stunning move from one end of the pitch to the other. Perfect in its execution. De Bruyne charged through the pitch and waited to play it out wide. It ends up with Chadli in the box and it's a goal worthy of winning any match. You have to feel for Japan but football is the winner.

    Belgium through to play Brazil

WHAT a game. That is as good a 45 minutes of knockout football as you could ever wish to see.

Belgium are the first side to come from 2-0 down to win in the knockout stage since West Germany beat England in 1970.

    Nacer Chadli

    UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!

I can barely believe this! Our questioning of Belgium having to rely on Maroune Fellaini and Nacer Chadli is made to look very stupid indeed as Belgium win it, from the Japan corner!

It's cleared, they counter. Kevin de Bruyne finds Thomas Meunier on the right. His low cross is left by Romelu Lukaku and Chadli, arriving at pace, slides it in.

    Corner. Last chance.

That's why Vincent Kompany is in the team because he comes across and just gets there to put the block in. Japan have shown real character to still be going for it after being pegged back.
