Spain seem to be moving the ball quicker at the start of extra time. They are playing with more urgency.

Spain have slightly more urgency, the ball being moved more quickly. Russia's approach hasn't changed.They will have to be prised from their own 18-yard line.

Remember, each team is allowed a fourth substitute in extra time. Spain mount the first attack, but are snuffed out on the left wing.

Here we go then. An extra half hour. Spain attack the goal to the right in the first period.

Spain need to take risks.

A lot of teams play like Russia but you have to put the ball in with quality. If you don't buy a ticket, you cannot win the raffle.

They get to the last third and check out, they are frightened to take any risk so it is just a possession game.

The skippers get together again. New coin toss, new handshake. Russia would probably bite your hand off for penalties.

It was a frustrating 45 minutes because you were desperate for someone to find that killer pass, but it never came. Most of the time Spain were happy to pass sideways, and try to pull Russia out of place, but the hosts were fairly comfortable.

The Russians are on their backs, getting legs rubbed and jiggled. David de Gea is prowling around the Spain players. He's the busiest he has been for an hour.

It will be extra-time. Spain will be able to rack up another 300 passes in that half hour.
