Neymar down in the box as Marouane Fellaini comes across, referee tells him to get up.
Clear dive, he kicked out on the Belgium midfielder there, tried a con job. Embarrassing.

Daniel: We all know Hazard and De Bruyne are exceptional players, but because they are wearing Belgium shirts it somehow seems surprising when they are more skillful than the Brazilians
Briyan: What a game! Lukaku is a beast, Hazard is superb, De Bruyne is awesome.
Jay: How nice of Belgium to clear the way to bring it home

Hazard and Lukaku duking it out for the Golden Ball in my opinion. Consistently great - Hazard shading it as he was their best player against Japan.

Imagine if Mourinho at Chelsea has the foresight not to sell Lukaku and De Bruyne. That Chelsea front 3 would have being frightening! What could have been.

The Brazilians have lined up in a sort of 4-2-4. Neymar is up front alongside Bobby Firmino and Jesus, with Philippe Coutinho playing as a left winger. It's brave but it has to be.
Brazil 0-2 Belgium
Neymar on the edge of the box, tries to turn inside but the big Vincent Kompany comes across and nudges the Brazil man off the ball.
Excellent defending. Rolls Royce.

This tells me that the harmony in this squad is perfect. Lukaku has been asked to play wide on the right and he's doing it. Sometimes you ask a big player to change their role in these tournaments and they sulk, they think 'that's not going to help me.'
Kevin de Bruyne is playing like a false nine, that front three is so flexible. He can dedide the game.
Brazil 0-2 Belgium
Belgium look so solid all over the park.
I don't see any way back here for Brazil.

Brazil are the classic example of a team with a sense of entitlement playing at one pace, waiting for something to happen. In football you cannot wait for things to happen, you need to make them happen, otherwise things will happen to you.

Brazil are so open, really if you look at the movement of De Bruyne and Lukaku it opens up so much space. Fellaini is playing defensively a major game, he's been outstanding so far.
Neymar is not there yet. We shall see in the second half.
Brazil 0-2 Belgium
Neymar is not fit at all, he is hobbling around again.
Brazil playing with 10 men here.

I’ve been very impressed with Romelu Lukaku – pace, power, strength, touch, technique, bringing players into the game. He’s played that role very well. He’s been asked to play a different role tonight – he’s been asked to pull out wide – on the left and right. Him doing that is creating space for others, in particular Hazard and De Bruyne.
You can tell after five minutes when the ball went up to him and stuck to him – you thought he’s in the mood. I think this is one of the best 45 minutes I’ve seen from him. He’s perfectly suited to it. Once he’s got that yard in front of you, you’re not catching him. He’s too quick and too strong. All he needs is a goal and you have the perfect centre forward’s performance.

David: Brazil playing like Arsenal at the moment
Trevor: Is it too early to suggest we might be headed for an England vs Belgium final? And this time, the two First XIs going toe to toe in a real Premier League All Stars battle!

There is a gap Brazil have got to plug and Belgium have found it very well. Brazil have switched Philippe Coutinho onto the left so they are very strong down there, but there is a huge gap on the right and that is where Kevin De Bruyne is picking up the ball. Belgium have reorganised wonderfully well after the Japan game.
It's Fernandinho's first start in a serious international game since that 7-1 defeat to Germany in 2014. He gave away that early own goal and he was ghosted past by Romelu Lukaku like he wasn't even there.
