Damian: Oh my word. Lukaku drove through Brazil then slips in De Bruyne for a targeted shot into the side netting. Beauty following the beast.

Edward: Belgium already 2-0 up in the first half. Brazil will go chasing the game and De Bruyne, Hazard and Lukaku will pick them off on the counter.

I've always liked Roberto Martinez, he kept Wigan up with hardly any budget and did a good job with Everton in his first season too.

He is giving these players the freedom to go and play, he's changed the system tonight, changed players' roles.

He deserves a lot of credit.

  7. 'Lukaku having his best ever game'published at 19:36 British Summer Time 6 July 2018

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

It's a great finish by Kevin De Bruyne but I am watching Romelu Lukaku have the best game he has ever had. His strength is incredible but he is also picking out the right passes as well. There are few players you want to with the ball from that distance, and De Bruyne is one of them.

What a wonderful move! Brilliant from Lukaku, the strength, the skill, the vision.

Can De Bruyne find a finish? Wow. Absolutely exquisite.

They'd threatened that on the counter a couple of times. Brazil are wide open.

    Kevin de Bruyne

What a strike! Belgium double their lead.

Brazil cannot handle Romelu Lukaku, who bursts straight through the middle of the park.

He lays the ball on to Kevin de Bruyne. Does he have the same composure as his team-mate?

Of course, he does, taking a couple of touches before arrowing a finish into the far corner.

    A goal made in Manchester.
