Five minutes left of this intriguing first half at The Valley.

Both sides have forced decent saves out of the opposing goalkeepers, but there's been no clear cut chances in the past few minutes - can that change before the break?

First yellow card of the day - Shrewsbury's Carlton Morris can have no complaints as he dives in studs slightly up on Jason Pearce.

He got away with a high boot in a challenge with Patrick Bauer earlier (pictured below), so I think that booking was coming.

Decent break from Charlton as Ben Reeves finds some space down the right, but his ball into the box can't find a red shirt and Shrewsbury clear.

Toto Nsiala is back on the field and the Shrewsbury defence is back up to their full quota.

This time it is Alex Rodman, but he cannot direct his header on target under pressure after a free kick is floated in from 45 yards.

Bryn Morris is starting to get hold of the centre of midfield for Shrewsbury.

He has put in a couple of decent balls for the front men to run onto and is doing well to find space.

Carlton Morris has another header from a corner, but this time it goes wide.

That's twice the Shrewsbury front man has beaten his marker from a set play - could that be a worry for Charlton as this game goes on?

How did Jon Nolan miss that?

Shrewsbury break at pace after defending a Charlton corner and the ball finds its way to Nolan on the left, he skips past a defender but his shot is deflected wide when he should have hit the target.

Morris has a header from the resulting corner saved easily.

Shrewsbury are starting to show a little bit more now after a sticky start.

Jon Nolan had a decent run down the right, but couldn't find the final ball into the strikers.

The Addicks have made a great start to this game - their midfield has really got hold of the early battles and up front Josh Magennis looks a threat, although he should be fresh as he was rested on Saturday.

It's all Charlton here - Nicky Ajose with a half-volley from 20-odd yards out goes high and wide.

At the moment you would think it was Charlton that had finished third in the league and Shrewsbury that had sneaked in to the play-offs, not the other way around.

Great save from Shrewsbury goalkeeper Dean Henderson after Jake Forster-Caskey's marauding run through midfield ends with a powerful low shot being palmed past the post.

The Addicks have a shout for a handball in the area from the resulting corner, but it would have been very harsh if it had been given.

The first decent chance of the game falls to Charlton. Josh Magennis puts a free header wide after some great play from the home side.

Stephy Mavididi had a wonderful run down the left and put a great cross across the face of the goal, before the second cross from the other wing provided the chance for Magennis.

A pretty even start to this game - Shrewsbury get the ball forward early, but Charlton are trying to get a bit of joy down the Shrews' left flank.
