Great wing play by Tom Bayliss at the other end. The Coventry youngster jinks away from a couple of defenders but unleashes a shot wide of the post.

Both sides are threatening. It's richly entertaining, this.

    Almost.

Dan Jones is again involved as Notts break on the right. This time he picks out Jon Stead in the middle but the striker's delicate attempted first-time lay-off is too heavy and Coventry clear.

GOAL: Coventry 0-1 Notts Countypublished at 49 mins

    Jonathan Forte

A sensational goal by Jonathan Forte.

Dan Jones chases what seems a lost cause down the left flank, slides in and wins possession against the odds.

He then has the composure to drill the ball into the near post, where Forte back-flicks the it into the near post. Great improvisation, and County lead.

Coventry keeper Lee Burge punches a long ball clear and there's a nervy moment before the Sky Blues break and win a corner.

Jack Grimmer heads the set-piece just over from six yards. We start where we left off. Chances at both ends already.

    Result: Boreham Wood 1-2 Tranmere

And there was an eventful National League play-off final.

Tranmere Rovers beat Boreham Wood in today's Wembley meeting - but they did it the hard way.

Rovers had defender Liam Ridehalgh sent off in the first minute for a lunging challenge, but Micky Mellon's side prevailed despite playing almost all of the match with 10 men.

James Norwood scored Rovers' winner to confirm their return to League Two after three seasons outside the EFL.

    Coventry 0-0 Notts County

That's been good fun. Frantic at times with a surprising amount of quality considering the awful weather and the fact there are puddles all over the place.

Both sides have had good chances. But we still don't have a goal in either of our League Two play-off games so far today.

There is still 45 minutes to play in this one though.

    Coventry 0-0 Notts County

There will be some busy groundstaff during the interval.

Pitchforks at the ready folks. The rain needs to be drained. You have 15 minutes to do your thing.

Two minutes of stoppage time has just started.

  19. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Coventry 0-0 Notts County

That has to be the wrong option.

It looked like Tom Bayliss wasn't the intended target but he gets in on the right-hand side of Notts County's defence and just plays the ball across the face of goal. It was neither a cross or a shot.

    Coventry 0-0 Notts County

A bright free-kick by the Sky Blues. They work the ball short, play it in to Marc McNulty's feet and the Scot turns and hits an effort wide.

    He's causing plenty of problems.
