Ooof. Atletico's Angel Correa gets a whack from Jordan Amavi and goes down to get treatment.

The pitch is covered with smoke again now.

    Marseille 0-1 Atletico Madrid

France announce their World Cup squad tomorrow, which might be a double reason Dimitri Payet was in tears about coming off with an injury tonight.

    Marseille 0-1 Atletico Madrid

A French player has scored in each of the last three Europa League finals - Kevin Gameiro (who is on Atletico's bench today) with Sevilla v Liverpool in 2016, Paul Pogba with Manchester United v Ajax last year and now Antoine Griezmann.

    Marseille 0-1 Atletico Madrid

A sight no Marseille fan wants to see - and it's quite hard to watch as a neutral.

Dimitri Payet is in tears as he comes off the pitch with an injury. I didn't see what happened - I don't think it was a foul - but he had a thigh problem coming into the game.

He hands the captain's armband to Luiz Gustavo and Maxime Lopez replaces Payet.

    He honestly looks absolutely devastated.

    Marseille 0-1 Atletico Madrid

Great skill by Lucas Ocampos to skip past Gabi - but suddenly there's four defenders around to squeeze the ball off him.

Top work from Atletico, who work so incredibly hard all the time.

    Antoine Griezmann

Textbook Atletico - they've been on the back foot and now they're ahead. It's a terrible mistake by Marseille.

Goalkeeper Steve Mandanda plays the ball to Andre Zambo Anguissa, but he's half asleep and loses possession to Gabi. The midfielder plays a first-time pass to Antoine Griezmann, who is basically free in the centre and he makes no mistake.

Almost a great cross from Florian Thauvin, a left-footed player on the right wing, but it's just beyond Lucas Ocampos and Jan Oblak can hold.

Andy White: The game needed that Marseille chance to go in. On the other hand if Athletico score first I can watch something else at 9pm!

Kevin Logan: That miss will come back to haunt Marseille. Think Higuain in 2010 World Cup final.

Atletico midfielder Koke attempts to score using a kung-fu kick from 22 yards out. It doesn't work. Well wide.

    Marseille 0-0 Atletico Madrid

Free-kick to Atletico Madrid. So many whistles, you'd genuinely think Marseille were at home. Wonder how much of an advantage that could prove tonight? Koke takes the free but it's headed clear.
