It's become the usual substitution merry-go-round now with more changes for both sides.

Milan Badelj trotted off to be replaced by Marcelo Brozovic and Marko Pjaca is on for Ante Rebic, the pick of Croatia's players so far.

Brazil have brought Marquinhos on for Miranda.

Roberto Firmino replaces Gabriel Jesus to a loud cheer from the locals, while Filipe Luís is also introduced for Brazil, with Marcelo making way.

I'm starting to wonder if we are going to see a goal in this one. Andrej Kramaric picks out Ante Rebic for Croatia but Alisson is down smartly to push his header away.

A couple of changes for Croatia in the last few minutes. Vedran Corluka's day is done. He's replaced by Duje Caleta-Car and Luka Modric makes way for his Real Madrid teammate Mateo Kovacic.

Marcelo let's rip from 25-30 yards but it's inches wide of the bottom right corner. That's the closest we've been to a goal for either team. Brazil starting to get on top here.

Philippe Coutinho has dropped a little deeper since the arrival of Neymar for Brazil. But at the moment Chelsea's Willian looks most likely to create an opening goal.

He is skipping past Croatia full-back Domagoj Vida with ease.

Gabriel Jesus is in for Brazil. But the assistant referee's flag goes up. That was tight.

A worrying first half for Brazil, who were outplayed and struggled to find a way to goal.

Tite will have to settle the team down and manage to give more speed to the Selecao midfield if they are to break through here.

Despite this game being a friendly, the first half performance will have given some jitters to supporters here at Anfield – and watching the game back home.

Here comes Neymar. How big a moment is this for Brazil? We're about to find out as their main man prowls the touchline ready to make his comeback.

Croatia’s marauding of the left side of the Brazilian defence is a preview of what many teams will try and do at the World Cup to check Marcelo’s advances. Tite may be forced to adopt a more aggressive midfield by sacrificing either Fernandinho or Casemiro. It will be interesting to see how he does it in the second half when Neymar comes in.

Croatia are presenting an interesting challenge for Brazil. Since 2016, when Tite took over as manager, they have not had a lot of chances to face European opposition - especially opposition that will not allow them to play. Modric and co are dominating midfield and forcing Brazil to punt the ball forward - Coutinho has not got space to work and the Croatians are forcing Marcelo to stay put.

The word on the street, well on social media is that Brazil midfielder Fred is heading across the M62 to Manchester after the game to complete a medical.

He has of course been linked with a €55 million move to Manchester United from Shakhtar Donetsk. There have been one or two crunching challenges in this game, hopefully he can steer clear of them, if and when, he's introduced.

Ante Rebic looks fine now. He chases on to a long ball forward and Brazil goalkeeper Alisson smashes his clearance against him - but gets away with it as the ball runs to safety.

A couple of Croatia players down here. Just what you want to see as a manager on the eve of a major tournament. Ante Rebic who has looked good is one of them. But he's up.
