Rob Grimwood: Seems ludicrous that Burnley had to miraculously finish 7th out of 20 in arguably the best league in the world to earn the right to enter the Europa League in the same round as a team who finish third out of 12 in the Scottish Prem?!

    Aberdeen finished second...

Nervous moments for Steven Gerrard's side.

    Steven Thompson
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

Ben Mee’s distribution from left centre-half tonight has been so poor. The amount of balls he’s over hit, the amount of balls he’s not managed to find the feet and that he’s been short with. It’s really bad and you can sense the frustration of the Burnley supporters.

Anon: I wish people would some perspective. Aberdeen playing as a one off tie. In the EPL they'd be relegated. #exaggeratedSPLquality

    Pat Nevin

Niall McGinn will be disappointed with that, Aberdeen fans will too. He’s not done much wrong. And he’s looked dangerous every time he’s had the ball.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

    Burnley 1-1 Aberdeen (Agg 2-2)

Niall McGinn makes way for Scott Wright as Aberdeen make a change. The Northern Ireland man isn't too impressed with that.

Sam Cosgrove was a handful in the first leg and gave the Burnley defence a torrid time but he's not been allowed to tonight. He's been kept quiet and smashes an ambitious shot a mile into the stand as he brings down a rare ball in to him now.

Joe Lewis got an England call-up once upon a time and he's shown why tonight with some brilliant saves.

We are 13 minutes away from extra time.

They’ve got away with one – we all expected that to go in. It was millimetres. Aberdeen just had a good spell. It sums up this game, it’s so even – either side can score.

What a save! Joe Lewis with another blinder!

The ball is whipped in from deep, Sam Vokes flicks on a header from about 15 yards out, it looks in all the way but Lewis gets a slight touch to push it onto the bar and away!

Rangers 1-0 NK Osijek (Agg: 2-0)

Osijek are leaving themselves more open at the back in search for an equaliser and Rangers should capitalise.

It is three against one as Ovie Ejaria breaks towards the visiting penalty box, but he plays his pass too wide for Alfredo Morelos and the striker can only fire into the side netting.

That’s a remarkable save. It’s a great sharp turn from Ashley Barnes and he catches it ever so well. It’s going like a rocket towards the top corner. And the reaction from Joe Lewis to tip that over the bar is absolutely sensational.

It’s a brilliant save from the big man. That’s two this half. It’s a brilliant save.

I think Ward got the ball. He didn’t do anything wrong. He gets the ball clean as a whistle but the other leg wipes out Ward.

Graeme Shinnie puts in a lung buster of a run to get back and make a challenge on Stephen Ward - the sort of tackle that brings applause from your fans but also a booking from the ref. He won the ball, just tackled with too much force.
