If any team look more likely to score, it's Aberdeen. By a decent distance they were the better team by the end, physically stronger too.

There's a lot of good players in that Aberdeen team and they're starting to believe in themselves. There's not a lot in it. I couldn't call it right now.

For many years people didn't practice bicycle kicks as referees would disallow them for high feet. But it's like players see one scored and then try it themselves.

  3. CLOSE!published at 20:35 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

Asteras Tripolis 1-1 Hibernian (Agg 3-4)

Up the other end, Hibs go close themselves. Florian Kamberi stings the palms of Giorgos Athanasiadis from a tight angle. He was never likely to score, but that's much better from Neil Lennon's men.

Michael Heal: As with Celtic last night, all the Scottish sides need to manage the games now. Hibs can use that man advantage later on in the game have to be stronger at the back. Rangers can hit on the break. Aberdeen have got to HT. Great showings once again though

  5. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

Asteras Tripolis 1-1 Hibernian (Agg 3-4)

Oh, that's a tight one. And another massive scare for Hibs, who are out if Asteras score again without reply.

Anastasios Douvikas scampers through on Adam Bogdan, the ball squirts loose, both players go down...no penalty. It didn't look like the Hibs goalkeeper got a touch on the ball there.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

    Burnley 1-1 Aberdeen (Agg 2-2)

Half time, Sean Dyche shaking his head, very unhappy indeed. A bit of pushing and shoving as well as the sides make the long trudge to the Turf Moor tunnel.

    Good game this!

  7. CLOSE!published at 20:33 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

    Burnley 1-1 Aberdeen (Agg 2-2)

Aberdeen so nearly ahead - and it's actually a really good save! Graeme Shinnie shoots from 20 yards, it's more placement than power and Anders Lindegaard has to stretch and make a fine fingertip save.

Tonight is his first start since he shipped six for Preston at Newcastle in 2016.

  8. HALF-TIME Rangers 0-0 NK Osijek (Agg: 1-0)published at 20:32 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

Rangers made a bright start, but Osijek have lived up to their pre-match words of confidence and have given Steven Gerrard's side plenty to think about.

Lassana Coulibaly missed a great early chance for the home side, but only a couple of superb stops from goalkeeper Allan McGregor has prevented the Croats from taking the lead as they grew in confidence as the game went on.

  9. CLOSE!published at 20:31 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

Asteras Tripolis 1-1 Hibernian (Agg 3-4)

Hibs are living so very, very dangerously in Greece. Asteras should be ahead. Captain Matias Iglesias misdirects his header wide from six yards after a wonderful flick-on from Kostas Triantafyllopoulos.

There are just under 20 minutes left in Greece. One more goal for the home side would put Hibs out.

The first 10 to 15 minutes you were really worried for Aberdeen. They lost an early goal, Burnley were looking menacing.

But that Aberdeen goal has given them all the belief that this tie is very much still alive.

They are now getting better deliveries into the box. They are asking questions of the centre-halves.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

Asteras Tripolis 1-1 Hibernian (Agg 3-4)

Clever, driving run from goalscorer John McGinn takes the pressure off Hibs. He strides up the left, and draws a foul from Giannis Kotsiras, who becomes the fifth home player to be shown a yellow card.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:28 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

Rangers 0-0 NK Osijek (Agg: 1-0)

Allan McGregor to Rangers' rescue twice in quick succession.

The goalkeeper stretches every sinew of his body to touch away a curling drive from striker Ezekiel Henty then is quick off the deck to dive low at his front post to turn Petar Bockaj's powerful shot wide for a corner.

    Rangers under increasing pressure.

Aberdeen fans in fine voice as we approach half time. A reminder of course that should the scores stay like this we would go to extra time or even penalties.

There were two Aberdeen players on halfway line - their other players were all around the 18-yard line- they threw everyone forward. It's really positive.

That rabbit in the headlights fear in the opening 10 minutes, Aberdeen have forgotten about it. It looks like that early goal was the best thing that could have happened to Aberdeen - they had to go for it.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:22 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

Asteras Tripolis 1-1 Hibernian (Agg 3-4)

Incredible stop from Adam Bogdan, who keeps Hibs in the box seat. Anastasios Douvikas directs a strong low header towards the bottom corner, and the visiting goalkeeper scoops it clear on the line.

Hibs are up against 10 men, but you wouldn't know it. They're really struggling to get out of their own half and gain any control over this second half in Greece.
