A reminder that the winner tonight goes on to face Istanbul Basaksehir. Adebayor and all.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:02 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

Rangers 0-0 NK Osijek (Agg: 1-0)

Rangers force a couple of fine blocks from Marko Malenica.

First, Daniel Candeias rushes clear only to be thwarted by the goalkeeper's outstretched hand low to his left.

Lassana Coulibaly is next to test Malenica with another low save, with Alfredo Morelos thwarted as he attempt to pounce on the rebound.

  3. The New Saints into next roundpublished at 19:59 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

Welsh champions The New Saints are into the third qualifying round thanks to Dean Ebbe's late winner at Lincoln Red Imps in Gibraltar.

The former Inverness striker's 82nd-minute strike gave them a 3-2 aggregate win.

They now host Danes Midtjylland at the Cardiff City Stadium next Thursday - 9 August.

Rangers 0-0 NK Osijek (Agg: 1-0)

Osijek are beginning to apply some pressure at Ibrox, partly thanks to some slack passing by the Rangers midfield.

Midfielder Haris Hajradinovic has been given a couple of sights at goal, the first deflecting off the foot of a defender and the second flashing a few feet over the crossbar.

    Burnley 1-0 Aberdeen (Agg 2-1)

Sean Dyche will be delighted with this opening 15 minutes. It's been a reminder to any Premier League sides watching just how hard it is to come and play at Turf Moor. Aberdeen have not had any fluency at all yet.

  6. 'Far too easy'published at 19:57 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

    Burnley 1-0 Aberdeen (Agg 2-1)

Former Burnley striker and BBC Sportsound pundit Steven Thompson was less than impressed with Aberdeen's defending for that opener for the hosts.

"You heard Derek McInnes before the match saying Burnley didn’t really play through them. That was a simple long ball over the top.

“It’s far too easy. Aberdeen give the ball away in the middle of the park. Really sloppy.

"Aberdeen have to keep better possession of the ball. They've not managed to make three passes... they need to be braver on the ball."

    Burnley 1-0 Aberdeen (Agg 2-1)

Commentator's cliche #567 but in a way that goal doesn't change anything for Aberdeen.

They would have gone out with a 0-0 and always needed to score tonight. A 1-1 tonight would take us into extra-time and maybe beyond.

It's a super goal - power and pace by Chris Wood. Two centre-backs are marking him but he goes beyond them. He's got the presence of mind not to panic - he takes it back towards his own goal and then smashes it into the net. Burnley deserve it. Aberdeen have hardly been out of their own half.

HT: Asteras Tripolis 0-1 Hibernian (Agg 2-4)

Hibs fans might not be able to enjoy moments like this for too much longer, with John McGinn the subject of transfer interest from Celtic and clubs in England this summer.

But my goodness, the Scotland midfielder has given the 800 or so travelling supporters a goal to savour in Greece. Cracking finish.

GOAL - Burnley 1-0 Aberdeen (Agg 2-1)published at 19:52 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

    Chris Wood (6 mins)

It had been coming! Burnley's bright start is rewarded by an early goal and it's really well taken by Chris Wood. Just onside, he brings down a long ball over the top, takes it around Joe Lewis who was rather marooned, keeps his cool and slams high into the roof of the net.

It's hard for Aberdeen - they're being put under a lot of pressure. The way Burnley have started has been impressive. They're pushing back Aberdeen.

    Burnley 0-0 Aberdeen (Agg 1-1)

Good lively start from the hosts. Jack Cork plays a fine ball in between the lines but Scott McKenna shows a bit of what the fuss is all about with some good defending to clear away.

Rangers 0-0 NK Osijek (Agg 1-0)

That would have settled any nerves nicely at Ibrox. A very, very good chance.

  14. CLOSE!published at 19:50 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

Rangers 0-0 NK Osijek (Agg: 1-0)

Rangers are quick to threaten as Ovie Ejaria's cross is flicked dangerously over his own crossbar by Guitieri Tomelin.

The resulting corner finds the foot of Lassana Coulibaly four yards out, but the on-loan Angers midfielder side-foots over with the goal seemingly at his mercy.

    Burnley 0-0 Aberdeen (Agg 1-1)

Aberdeen are playing 4-1-4-1 tonight, a little tweak which sees Tommie Hoban into a deep midfield role. Burnley have started with two big men up front, a familiar 4-4-2 for Sean Dyche and co.

  16. KICK-OFFpublished at 19:47 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

It will be an interesting tactical battle. The top Premier League teams struggle to score at this ground against Sean Dyche's team. Can Derek McInnes make the big difference tonight? He's a brilliant tactician.

  18. HALF-TIME Asteras Tripolis 0-1 Hibernian (Agg 2-4)published at 19:46 British Summer Time 2 August 2018

So far, so good for Hibernian. They've extended their aggregate lead by one with a potentially crucial away goal.

Asteras have played some slick attacking football in and around the away box, swinging in some wicked deliveries from the flanks.

But they've only really troubled Hibs once, when Kosmas Tsilianidis found enough space from a corner to smack a header off the crossbar from six yards.

Almost immediately, Hibs scored. Florian Kamberi robbed Asteras captain Matias Iglesias inside his own half, and slid in John McGinn to fire home the opening goal.

At the moment, it's the perfect smash-and-grab performance from Neil Lennon's men.
