West Brom won a seven-goal thriller against Norwich, Aston Villa left it late to edge out Wigan and Bristol City staged a gutsy comeback to earn a point against Bolton.

Leeds rounded off the action very nicely indeed with a sensational 4-1 win over Derby.

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa - speaking mainly via a translator - says his side were a "focused team".

He adds to Sky Sports: "The Championship is very long and it is not convenient to make conclusions now."

Leeds' man of the match Kemar Roofe adds:

"We didn't finish last season well at all and everyone was disappointed.

"But we're only two games in. We can't get carried away."

Leeds' opening goal scorer Mateusz Klich tells Sky Sports:

"I hope we keep going because it's a really nice way of playing football, but there are a lot of games to go.

"Last season, we also started good, but then we dropped off.

"I just hope this season is going to be better. But it's a very long way to go. We need to perform like we did in those two games, and we'll see."

The Leeds fans are revelling in this. And so they should. It's their first away win since Boxing Day 2017, and is only their second victory over Derby at Pride Park in 13 attempts.

Hugely impressive stuff from Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds who were on top in the first half and maintained their quality with two quick-fire goals after the break.

Kemar Roofe scored two stunning goals. There's plenty for Frank Lampard to think about. His Derby side were well beaten.

Leeds pick up two late bookings. I suspect they won't care.

Patrick Bamford is in the book for a cynical trip and Esgjan Alioski is cautioned for time wasting.

Martyn Waghorn fails to make a decent connection with a high dropping ball and heads it meekly at Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

A debut goal for the Derby striker would have given something for the home fans after a miserable second half.

We are into the second minute of four minutes of stoppage time.

Leeds are sitting deep and just looking to pick off Derby on the break. Patrick Bamford and Lewis Baker are both eager to impress.

Samu Saiz has earned a little bit of a rest. He's been majestic for Leeds and is replaced by another Chelsea loanee.

Lewis Baker will get about four minutes plus injury time to show what he can do in the centre of midfield.

We are well into the 'going through the motions' stage now. derby boss Frank Lampard said he hoped to be able to tap into Marcelo Bielsa's expertise after the game.

Budding football managers should form an orderly queue. It's only two games in and Leeds are used to false dawns, but this has the makings of something very good.

Max Lowe goes in late on Pablo Hernandez and becomes the fifth Derby man to get a yellow card.

Martyn Waghorn was the fourth, getting a debut caution a bit earlier during all the second-half goal excitement.

Kemar Roofe is taken off and is cheered every step of his slow trudge off the pitch. He deserves that. Two goals in a wonderful all-round display.

Following his side's draw at home to Hull, Sheffield Wednesday boss Jos Luhukay tells BBC Radio Sheffield:

"At the end, we don't have a happy feeling. We had very good chances to win the game. Hull also had one or two moments.

"It was a good comeback from us. We maybe deserved to win based on the chances that we had. It was disappointed that we didn't score the second goal to win. At the end, we did not have the extra luck that you need.

"Our squad is not very big in numbers - we have 16 or 17 players - so the options are not all too big. But we know the situation and we must handle that."

Florian Jozefzoon has shown a bit of pace and promise on the right. He wins a corner for Derby. The Rams need something very quickly to have any hope here.

Mason Mount shows great technique to bring a ball under his control as it drops, but his second touch cannot match his first touch and the on-loan Chelsea man shoots tamely at goal.
