The Latics opened up with a home win over Sheffield Wednesday, but were then beaten by the odd goal in five at Aston Villa.

Wigan boss Paul Cook has lost just two of his last 30 home league matches, while today's visitors Nottingham Forest have never won in their six previous trips to what is now known as the DW Stadium.

But Forest, winless in their last seven away games, have made an unbeaten start to the league season, drawing their opening two and then beating Reading last Saturday.

Rangers won the last meeting between the two sides, running out 4-1 winners at the Hawthorns in the Premier League in April 2015.
