What a difference Tomer Hemed has made for QPR today.

The Israel forward volleys just wide for the hosts.

Can the R's hold on for another 30 minutes to claim their first win/points of the season?

  2. Postpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Derby 1-0 Preston

Derby's Craig Bryson sets himself up from... a distance...

Ooohhh - but it's close! It ends up trickling just wide from a deflection, despite looking audacious initially.

  3. Postpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Sheff Wed 1-1 Ipswich

Barry Bannan scored a cracker for the hosts in their win over Millwall on Wednesday and he's just been denied a second goal in a week by a goalline clearance.

  4. Postpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Norwich 0-2 Leeds

Norwich break on the counter and Teemu Pukki looks to pick out Pablo Hernandez. The pass is slightly underhit and leaves the City winger with a lot to do to set himself up, and he shoots over.

We've got a stoppage in play now following a clash of heads between Moritz Leitner and Luke Ayling - the physios are on...

  5. Postpublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Derby 1-0 Preston

There's been an equally lively re-start at Pride Park: Mason Bennett forces his way into the box and gets a shot away, but Declan Rudd stands firm to make the save.

Probably the best chance of the game, that, as David Nugent spotted the space to releash the onrushing Bennett into a one-on-one.

    Norwich 0-2 Leeds

Leeds gonna Leeds: Pablo Hernandez hooks the ball to Kemar Roofe with a pass Xabi Alonso would have been proud of.

Roofe feeds Samu Saiz, who can only hit the side-netting, but Hernandez has had a real game so far today.

His vision on the ball has been exceptional and he did well then to make a difficult pass look effortless, Kevin de Bruyne-style.

  7. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 1-0 Brentfordpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Kasey Palmer (54 mins)

A goal to light up what's been a dreadful game so far!

Kasey Palmer latches onto the ball after it is palmed out by Bees keeper Dan Bentley and scores.

  8. Leagues One and Two updatepublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

After a quiet first-half as far as goals are concerned, they're flying in now in League One.

Jason Cummings gives Peterborough their third away at Plymouth - Steve Evans' side top League One as it stands...

Coventry have gone ahead at Gillingham thanks to Jonson Clarke-Harris.

And in League Two, Colchester are behind at home to Northampton, with Matt Crooks opening the scoring.

  9. goal

GOAL: Aston Villa 1-0 Readingpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Ahmed Elmohamady (51 mins)

It's a second goal of the season for Aston Villa's Egyptian full-back.

Ahmed Elmohamady gives the Villans the lead with a neat header from debutant Anwar El Ghazi's cross.

    Bolton 0-2 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United have brought on David McGoldrick at the break and he's nearly introduced himself in style but Ben Alnwick keeps out his long range volley with a super save.

QPR almost double their lead straight after the restart!

Nahki Wells pulls the ball back to Luke Freeman but his effort rattles the side netting. Close.

  12. SECOND HALVES UNDER WAYpublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Aston Villa 0-0 Reading

Big blow for Aston Villa as playmaker Jack Grealish is subbed off for Conor Hourihane.

The former England Under-21 international picked up a knock late in the first half and has not reappeared for the second.

We're back under way at Villa Park and across the country.

Right, that's all the Championship games at half-time. Let's have a look at how things are going in Leagues One and Two...

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Sheff Wed 1-1 Ipswich

Level at the break at Hillsborough.

Lucas Joao gave the hosts the lead with a header before Toto Nsiala cancelled that out with a headed effort of his own.

The winless visitors nearly took the lead just before the break but Liam Palmer scrambled the ball off the line.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Stoke 1-0 Hull

How big could that James McClean goal be for Stoke City and boss Gary Rowett?

The Republic of Ireland international gave them the lead after nine minutes and if they can hang on this will be their first league win of the season.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Derby 1-0 Preston

It's been slightly quieter fare than perhaps we've been used to at Pride Park in the past few weeks, but Derby lead Preston 1-0 thanks to Mason Mount's smart finish.

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Norwich 0-2 Leeds

Lots more goals to come in this one, I expect...

Leeds have looked as impressive as ever offensively under Marcelo Bielsa, but also uncharacteristically vulnerable at times - especially right before the break, when Norwich would have reduced the deficit were it not for Kemar Roofe denying Timm Klose.

Daniel Farke's men have had a real go and will be keen to build on their first league win from midweek.
