First it's a terrible spill from Jordan Pickford - with Gareth Southgate in the stands - from Cedric Soare's long-range drive. It swirls, but Pickford lets it drop straight out to Danny Ings, about five yards out with the goal gaping.

PIckford though, launches himself at the striker, Peter Schmeichel style for the 21st century, and somehow manages to palm the ball up onto the bar and away. Outrageous stop, but I think the flag was up for offside in any case.

Morgan Schneiderlin looks to have a bit of a problem here. He's having to come off - I'm not totally sure what kind of injury he's picked up. He's walking off without assistance, as Tom Davies comes on to replace him

He can't quite get it right this finish - it's a hard one to be fair. Scampering on to a Jack Stephens ball with lovely weight, Danny Ings hits an off-balance effort over the bar first time, from a tight angle. Better signs though for the away side.

J.O. Smithy: Theo Walcott, when given his chances, is still a very decent player - as he has proven. Everton look good.
