Another ball over the top, this time from Willian, and if Chelsea forward Pedro was a size nine instead of a size eight, he would have got on the end off it.

Passing out from the back may work in the future, but against a team with the quality of Chelsea is begging to be punished.

There is no one within 10-15 yards when Pedro hits it. Poor defending, but It was with the run of play.

Mark: The new Arsenal philosophy of playing out from the back has already shortened my life expectancy by 10 years.
KoloKK: Arsenal have joined the play-out-from-the-back club. But have they mastered it yet, is what is left to be seen.
Dan: Did Unai Emery sign some sort of clause in his contract that Granit Xhaka and Petr Cech must play every game? Absurd how they get picked week in week out.
Pedro
Arsenal ripped apart at the back.
Chief architect Jorginho is the creator, sweeping a ball to the left for Marcos Alonso.
The Spaniard is in behind the Gunners defence, looks up and plays the ball across for fellow countryman Pedro, who coolly finishes into the bottom corner.

Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal
Arsenal content to sit back, let Chelsea have the ball.

The key from Arsenal's perspective today would be to manage N'Golo Kante-Jorginho combination. I'm really doubtful Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi will be up for the challenge. That's where the game probably will be lost for us.

Unai Emery is already pacing up and down his technical area almost wanting to direct every movement from his Arsenal players. Plenty of tic-tac from Maurizio Sarri too.

Will give Unai Emery time to make his mark, but if he keeps starting Granit Xhaka I'm going to lose patience sooner rather than later.

The fixture computer could hardly have been less kind to Unai Emery as he starts the task of revitalising Arsenal. Having lost to Manchester City they face a trip to Chelsea - where they have scored only once on their last six league and cup visits.
"Our players need to improve in the biggest games" said Emery in his press conference on Thursday. "Tell us something we didn't know", the Arsenal fans might have been thinking.
Last season Arsenal took only six points from their 10 league games against the top five, winning only once - just not good enough.
Chelsea looked accomplished in their win at Huddersfield last weekend, and with Mateo Kovacic, external to throw into the mix they shouldn't be short of midfield creativity. However, getting Alvaro Morata to up his goal-rate continues to be a priority.
