Kolo: Fulham will not last in this current season of Premier League! I am sorry to say but that investment they made has gone down the drain!

  2. CLOSE!published at 16:41 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Everton 2-1 Southampton

Everton close to putting the game to bed, but Idrissa Gueye's low shot from 25 yards out is kept out by Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Leicester 2-0 Wolves

Wolves have hit the frame again.

This time it is Jonny Castro, who chests a chipped ball past his marker on the left before smashing a shot against the outside of the upright.

It is my duty as a commentator to suggest that this might not be Wolves' day.

Good save by Jordan Pickford, batting away James Ward-Prowse's free-kick for Southampton towards the front post.

  10. 'Tottenham have ground it out'published at 16:36 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Tottenham 3-1 Fulham

    Danny Mills
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 live

That is the difference between the best teams in the Championship and the Premier League. It is a huge step up. Fulham have not played bad, but Tottenham have just ground it out.

  11. goal

GOAL - Tottenham 3-1 Fulhampublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Harry Kane (77 mins)

    Hoodoo over.

Harry Kane finally has a Premier League goal in August. Erik Lamela makes it, running right through the middle of the pitch and into the box with Fulham men trying in vain to stop him. He flicks the ball left to Kane, who steps past his man and slots a finish inside the far corner.

Relief for Kane and for Spurs, who surely have this wrapped up now.

    Leicester 2-0 Wolves

Traore and Bonatini combine again for Wolves as the winger lifts a cross for the striker to meet but send the ball over the bar.

  13. Postpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Leicester 2-0 Wolves

Adama Traore is a big muscular menace. He's like a cross between a wrecking ball and a cheetah.

He drives at pace at the Leicester defence before teeing up Leo Bonatini, whose shot is high and wide.

The ten men have 15 minutes to hold on.

No surprise to see West Ham bottom. Owners invest but players they have are not interested and lazy. Manager is OK but no effort = no points.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:34 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    West Ham 1-2 Bournemouth

Frustration for Jack Wilshere, a nasty chop on Ryan Fraser and a deserved booking for the West Ham midfielder.

    Tottenham 2-1 Fulham

I said it would have to be something special. Stunning. Pace, power, dip and bend. Just like Kieran Trippier did at the World Cup. That is a magnificent strike.

    Pick that out!

Kieran Trippier goes all World Cup v Croatia on Fulham as he swings a free-kick from 25 yards over the wall and into the back of the net.

  19. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Tottenham 1-1 Fulham

August really hates Harry Kane. He has pretty much the whole goal to pick from as Kieran Trippier's cross finds him behind the Fulham backline but side-foots his effort against the woodwork.

  20. 'The atmosphere could become hostile'published at 16:31 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    West Ham 1-2 Bournemouth

    Alex Scott
Ex-Arsenal Ladies & England international on Final Score

It will be interesting to see how West Ham react. Both the players and the crowd. We saw at times last season when it went against them there was a hostile atmosphere from the fans.
