Man Utd, who are very distracting in their new pink away shirt, come foward with intent before Jame Tarkowski pumps the ball back down field for Chris Wood.

  6. Coming into September...published at 15:55 British Summer Time 2 September 2018

Burnley v Manchester United (16:00 BST)

Both teams have endured a difficult start to the season.

Burnley went through four rounds of Europa League qualifying, only to miss out on a place in the group stage.

And they've not picked up a point in the league since their opening-day draw with Southampton.

Manchester United won their opener against Leicester but back-to-back defeats - including last weekend's 3-0 defeat by Tottenham - have piled pressure on Jose Mourinho.

History is not on Burnley's side when it comes to this fixture. They've won just once against United in their last 17 top-flight meetings.

Considering what Tottenham have done of the last few years they are genuine title contenders. Can they maintain this sort of form?

I would probably say they won’t be with Liverpool and Man City come the end of the season, but with how they are playing they will be top four again. I think that is enough for what they have done.

Michael: Starting Fellaini? Really? Just because he does what he’s told? Total liability with the ball at his feet. And despite his height, not much better in the air. Count his giveaways/loss of control today.

With his back against the wall after successive defeats, the last of which, 3-0 against Tottenham, was the worst home result of his entire managerial career, Jose Mourinho has put his faith in Marouane Fellaini.

The Manchester United midfielder is not everyone's cup of tea but he will ensure a physical threat that Burnley, playing their 10th game of the season, might struggle to cope with.

...it's a banner paid for by disaffected Manchester United fans!

Yep, we're four games into the new season and already they're kicking off.

The banner 'Ed Woodward - a specialist in failure' has been arranged by a group called 'A Voice from the Terrace' and has been flown over Turf Moor in one of those tiny, terrifying planes.

Who else would love to know how much this display of antipathy set them back?

  12. 'This shows we can compete'published at 15:44 British Summer Time 2 September 2018

    Cardiff 2-3 Arsenal

    Cardiff City

Cardiff's Danny Ward speaking to Sky Sports: "It's always good to get the first goals of the season but the result is more important and, looking back on the chances, we probably should've (got a result).

"It shows we can compete at this level, score goals and put teams under pressure, but we need to make sure we take points away from these games.

"We knew they'd have a lot of possession but we set up well and dealt with it for the majority of the game. Unfortunately, we didn't take our chances."

On pressuring Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech: "There were a few moments, we knew if we put pressure on him, he might make a few mistakes."

  13. What's the situation at Man Utd?published at 15:42 British Summer Time 2 September 2018

Burnley v Man Utd (16:00 BST)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Turf Moor

From the outside looking in, it appears chaotic and disconnected. But sources inside Old Trafford insist the reality is far calmer.

That may be true. But other sources describe the atmosphere in the dressing room as flat - only to be expected after consecutive defeats, particularly a three-goal home reverse to one of your major rivals.

More worrying are claims from those well-placed sources that no-one appears willing to take responsibility for the position the club finds itself in, that the players are confused by Jose Mourinho's erratic team selections and that some have no wish to play for the manager over the long term.

  14. Point proven?published at 15:40 British Summer Time 2 September 2018

Alexandre Lacazette speaking to Sky Sports: "For me, it was important to start well. I wanted to prove to the coach that I can be in the first 11, I think I did that and I'm happy."

  15. 'Always emotional playing in Cardiff'published at 15:39 British Summer Time 2 September 2018

    Cardiff 2-3 Arsenal

    Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey speaking to Sky Sports:

On the result: "We wanted to take full advantage against the opposition today. We had a difficult start losing to Manchester City and Chelsea but we have bounced back. We know going to be difficult here, the crowd is superb, so if you give them any chance you can really feel the atmosphere, so we did well to overcome this."

On playing in Cardiff: "It is always emotional, I love coming back to play here in front of these fans. It is where I was brought up and given opportunity to play football so I will always be grateful."

On adapting with Emery: "We know it is a process and every game we improve that little bit and get stronger and stronger. Hopefully can come back from International break and really kick on."

Watford’s former Tottenham midfielder Etienne Capoue has been speaking to BBC 5 live's Sportsweek about his team's winning start to the season.

Asked if the Hornets can repeat Burnley's heroics of last season and secure a top-seven finish in the Premier League, Capoue said: "If we think about this now it is going to be a mess.

"We just need to be focused on games. If we focus on what Burnley did or what Leicester did a few seasons ago then we are going to lose our minds."

Capoue added: "It’s about not losing from the beginning including pre-season friendlies. The coach has created a very good atmosphere and we are all pushiong one another. We know we are not going to win every game but it is so enjoyable to play like this.

"Spurs is a special game for some players here. Now is the time to show if we have enough quality."

It's September! And that could spell bad news for Watford.

Spurs and England striker Harry Kane just loves scoring in the ninth month of the calendar year.

Last season he rattled in 13 in eight appearances for club and country.

He's already got two in his past two club appearances. Will he start the month off with a bang?
