Gamboa then takes a sore one in a challenge with Birger Meling but is able to carry on.

A late tackle from Alexander Soderlund on Kristoffer Ajer results in a foul and a talking to for the Rosenborg player but the referee takes no further action.

Young Kristoffer Ajer has been a sensation and he is growing in stature. Brendan Rodgers said he has put on 10kg since last year which is great. He went out on loan to Kilmarnock and his defensive qualities are improving all the time.
Jack Hendry must be pinching himself, having played for Dundee and now in the Champions League with Celtic. If the pair of them keep on improving their end product after stepping into midfield that will be great. They are both young and the question mark will be whether they can handle the pressure but they will build a partnership with each game.

Brendan Rodgers has led Celtic into the group stage of the Champions League for the past two seasons and last year they finished third in their group, resulting in a Europa League last-32 berth.
His side entered the competition at an earlier round this season in the first qualifying round and there would still be another qualifying round and a play-off to overcome should they win through tonight's tie.

This year's meeting of the clubs is a repeat of last season's Champions League third qualifying round tie.
On that occasion, the sides drew 0-0 in Glasgow before James Forrest's strike gave Celtic a 1-0 win in Trondheim, which was enough to send them through to the play-off round.

Rosenborg interim manager Rini Coolen yesterday: "Celtic deserved the win last week and in the end we were lucky that we didn't lose more goals.
"But hopefully we can do some things differently. We are playing at home and we have our supporters.
"We have a chance to win the game but we have to create those circumstances and yes we have to take some risks and yes we have to give away some spaces, but we will not open the door.
"Sometimes things happen that you don't expect but realistically, it will not be easy. Celtic have a bigger chance to go through than us but it doesn't mean that we don't have a chance at all."

However, they have made the groups on 11 occasions - one more than Celtic.

Celtic briefly trailed in last week's first leg after Rosenborg's Birger Meling gave the Norwegian side an away goal in Glasgow.
Olivier Ntcham's second-half leveller and Odsonne Edouard's double ensured the Scottish team would take a two-goal advantage to Trondheim.

Dons manager Derek McInnes says he does not expect the English Championship club to make a bid for the 21-year-old.

Greek champions AEK Athens will play the winner of tonight's tie in the Champions League third qualifying round, which will be played over the next two midweeks.
AEK, who have not reached the group stage since 2006, last season won their first Super League title in 24 years.
The loser of tonight's tie will play Cork City in the Europa League third qualifying round.
