    Wolves v Burnley (13:30 BST)

Wolves are currently on a club-record run of 14 homes games without victory in the Premier League (D4, L10).

However, they have only lost two of their 28 home games under Nuno Espirito Santo, winning 18 and drawing eight.

Burnley have won only five of their last 25 Premier League matches (D9, L11), with their last victory coming in April.

They could equal the club record of four straight Premier League defeats, set in May 2015 when they were relegated from the Premier League.

  6. 'Defour has signed extension'published at 13:24 British Summer Time 16 September 2018

    Wolves v Burnley (13:30 BST)

Burnley manager Sean Dyche on a new contract for the injured Steven Defour: "He already signed in the summer. He has two years now. He's staying for another two years until 2020.

"He was injured at the time and we leave players alone when they're injured, so we didn't go out to press and say he's here for another two years."

    Wolves v Burnley (13:30 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson
Ex-Liverpool defender and BBC football expert

Wolves picked up their first top-flight win of the new campaign last time out, courtesy of Adam Traore's stoppage-time strike at West Ham, and they have looked lively whenever I have seen them this season.

Burnley are yet to win a league game this season and have only one point from their first four league games as well as going out of the Europa League.

With the chances they had at Southampton on the opening weekend of the season, the Clarets should really have beaten them, but it has still been a disappointing start for Sean Dyche's side.

This is a very important game for them and, given Burnley's form, a lot of people might look at it and think they fancy Wolves.

But this is the type of game that Burnley did well in last season and they showed then that they are capable of getting a positive result out of it.

Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo: "The international break was in the calendar so we knew it was coming.

"The most important thing is that we established standards in the last game, and we have to maintain those standards.

"Winning is always good and makes things a lot easier when you are trying to establish an identity like we are."

A first Premier League win as West Ham manager might be the present he wants most.

  11. How did the VAR trial go?published at 13:11 British Summer Time 16 September 2018

Only one decision would have been overturned in the five games during which the Premier League trialled video assistant referees (VAR) yesterday.

A Leroy Sane goal disallowed for offside in Manchester City's 3-0 home victory over Fulham would have stood.

Replays showed Sane was marginally onside when scoring just before half-time. It would have put City 3-0 ahead.

The trial took place at the central VAR hub, and there was no communication with anyone at the matches.

  12. Early team newspublished at 13:08 British Summer Time 16 September 2018

Everton v West Ham (16:00 BST)

Everton defender Seamus Coleman is expected to be out for two weeks after picking up a foot injury on international duty.

Idrissa Gueye, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Theo Walcott are all set to return while Bernard is also available, but Richarlison is still suspended.

West Ham will be without Jack Wilshere with an ankle injury, while Javier Hernandez is a doubt due to illness.

Long-term absentees Andy Carroll and Manuel Lanzini are still out.

Former West Ham defender James Collins on BBC Radio 5 Live:

If I am brutally honest I fear for West Ham a bit. I can only see it getting worse before it gets better, and I worry about the characters. If it is really going badly who is in that dressing room to really grab it by the scruff of the neck and pull the team together?

Obviously you’ve got Mark Noble, there is no question he has been doing that for years, you’ve got your core of your British lads but when the going gets tough, who is really there to bring them together?

  15. Cherries 'not the finished article'published at 12:58 British Summer Time 16 September 2018

    Bournemouth 4-2 Leicester

The most goals came in Bournemouth's 4-2 victory over 10-man Leicester but Eddie Howe says his side are far from the finished article despite moving up to fifth in the Premier League.

Joshua King added a penalty to two goals from Ryan Fraser in the first half. Adam Smith then made it 4-0 before James Maddison and Marc Albrighton replied late on for the Foxes, who had Wes Morgan sent off in the second half.

"We've won but we know the team is not at its peak yet," Howe told BBC Sport. "We know you're judged at the end of the season, not now.

"We knew before the game we've got a lot more improving to do. We're aware of the table - we were aware of it last year when we had no points after four games."

  16. 'West Ham's position not important'published at 12:55 British Summer Time 16 September 2018

Everton v West Ham (16:00 BST)

Everton manager Marco Silva: "It will be a tough game. I have no doubts about that. It is not important what position (West Ham) are or that they are looking for their first win.

"We have to give 100% and our best levels and in that way we can win."

  17. Persistence pays off for Arsenalpublished at 12:54 British Summer Time 16 September 2018

    Newcastle 1-2 Arsenal

Despite being frustrated in the first half, Granit Xhaka opened the scoring for Arsenal with an excellent long-range free-kick and helped them on their way to a 2-1 win over Newcastle.

Mesut Ozil doubled the advantage and Ciaran Clark responded in stoppage time for the hosts.

Ozil - making his 200th appearance for the club - ensured Arsenal won consecutive away league games for the first time since May 2017.

  18. Sane returns to cause problemspublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 16 September 2018

    Manchester City 3-0 Fulham

Leroy Sane returned to the Manchester City starting XI and scored the opening goal in their emphatic 3-0 win over Fulham in just one minute and 36 seconds.

It meant the defending champions maintained their unbeaten start to the season after David Silva and Raheem Sterling extended the lead.

"We never had doubts about Leroy's quality," said Pep Guardiola. "He shows us many times in the last season and today he played again so good.

"We cannot forget sometimes this kind of thing happens, he is 21, 22. Sometimes he has to realise what, like a professional, he has to do.

"I am delighted for his performance and so confident."

  19. The stats...published at 12:50 British Summer Time 16 September 2018

Everton v West Ham (16:00 BST)

Everton are undefeated in 18 of the last 20 Premier League meetings with West Ham, winning 12 and drawing six.

The Toffees also have won more Premier League matches (24) and scored more goals (80) against West Ham than any other team.

And Everton are unbeaten this season but have won only once, despite leading in three of their four matches.

West Ham could win consecutive top-flight matches against Everton for the first time since 1972-73.

But they could lose their opening five league matches for the first time in their history.

  20. Naughty Lamps sent to the standspublished at 12:49 British Summer Time 16 September 2018

    Rotherham 1-0 Derby

Frank Lampard was sent off only twice in 609 Premier League appearances as a player but yesterday had to head to the stands after being sent off as a manager.

The Derby boss was heated in the Rams' 1-0 defeat at Rotherham after Tom Lawrence was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Richie Towell.

"I didn't get a word from the ref," said Lampard. "I need to go back to the rulebook myself because I do not want to be leaving the game.

"I was upset with a handball. If those are the rules, managers will get sent off every game."
