  1. Molde threat increasingpublished at 20:03 British Summer Time 9 August 2018

    Hibernian 0-0 Molde

Great chance for Molde when Petter Strand is found in the clear at the back post.

But the Danish midfielder elects to pass across the face of goal instead of shooting and Paul Hanlon clears and goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw clutches the ball out of the air.

  2. All going well for Rangerspublished at 20:01 British Summer Time 9 August 2018

    Rangers 1-0 Maribor

That Morelos goal has really settled Rangers down. Maribor looked threatening early on, but they've not managed to get out their own half for the last few minutes.

Lassana Coulibaly is a constant force in the midfield for Rangers.

  6. goal

GOAL Rangers 1-0 Mariborpublished at 19:52 British Summer Time 9 August 2018

    Alfredo Morelos

Scott Arfield plays in Ryan Kent who just about manages to get his shot off. Jasmin Handanovic gets an, err, hand to it, but all he can do is push the ball towards Alfredo Morelos. The Maribor defence appealed for offside but the flag stayed down for the Colombian to tap the ball in from a few yards.

    Great start for Rangers.

    Hibernian 0-0 Molde

It is a bright start for Hibs and Martin Boyle's cross is blocked by the body of goalkeeper Andreas Linde at the front post.

  15. How Molde got herepublished at 19:42 British Summer Time 9 August 2018

    Hibernian v Molde (19:45)

Molde beat Northern Irish Glenavon and Alabanians Laci to set up a trip to Easter Road.

They have reached the Europa League group stage three times in the last six years, progressing to the last 32 in 2016.

Hibs overcame Faroese side Runavik in the opening round of qualifiers before eliminating Asteras Tripolis of Greece.

  16. Maribor keep it tightpublished at 19:41 British Summer Time 9 August 2018

    Rangers v Maribor (19:45)

Rangers would surely be happy to repeat the 2-0 first-leg lead they established in the opening round of qualifying against Shkupi.

Steven Gerrard's side added to that with a professional goalless draw in Macedonia and it was a 1-0 win on their travels in the next round that secured their progression against Osijek, following it up with a 1-1 draw at home.

Maribor, meanwhile, have yet to concede a goal in four Europa League outings this season.

They opened their Europa League campaign by beating Albanian outfit Partizani Tirana in both legs for a 3-0 aggregate win then ousted Georgian side Chikhura Sachkhere after a 2-0 home win in the return leg.

  17. Yugo tourpublished at 19:41 British Summer Time 9 August 2018

    Rangers v Maribor (19:45)

Rangers fans are getting a crash course in countries that made up the former Yugoslavia.

Having beaten Shkupi from Macedonia in the first round, they moved north to take care of Osijek of Croatia and now host a side from neighbouring Slovenia they have faced twice before in European competition.

Maribor knocked out Rangers in the Europa League play-off round the last time the Glasgow side were in European competition back in 2011, winning 2-1 at home and drawing 1-1 at Ibrox.

That avenged Rangers' Champions League qualifying victory in 2001, when the Light Blues won both legs handsomely - 3-0 at home and 3-1 away - with Tore Andre Flo scoring three of their goals and Claudio Caniggia contributing a double.

  18. In-form sides meet at Ibroxpublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 9 August 2018

    Rangers v Maribor (19:45)

Rangers will have emerged from Sunday's opening game of their Premiership campaign with a mixture of emotions.

They recovered from the early sending-off of striker Alfredo Morelos to take the lead and dominate the game away to last season's runners-up, Aberdeen, only to concede a stoppage-time equaliser.

Maribor arrive in Glasgow on a high after a 5-2 win away to Aluminij that took Darko Milanic's side to the top of the PrvaLiga after three games - a point ahead of Saturday's hosts.

The Violets have scored 10 goals in their two domestic away matches so far.

  19. Fascination street at Easter Roadpublished at 19:39 British Summer Time 9 August 2018

    HIbernian v Molde (19:45)

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland

With both Hibs and Molde without key players, this looks set to be a fascinating contest as to who will adapt the quickest to their loss.

There is no doubt the Easter Road side are weaker without John McGinn, but Neil Lennon has been planning for exactly this eventuality for some time.

The injury to goalkeeper Adam Bogdan, who was the hero of the hour last week in Greece, was not on the cards and it’s now a huge night for Ross Laidlaw between the sticks after a long time on the bench without any action.

Molde head coach Ole Gunnar Solskajaer admits that, without teenager Erling Haland, they lose a potent striker but still feels he has the firepower within his squad to pose Hibs problems.

  20. Zenit taking a beatingpublished at 19:38 British Summer Time 9 August 2018

Hibs would probably be expecting to be face Zenit St Petersburg, who knocked Celtic out of this competition last season, in the play-off round should they get past Molde.

But the Russians are losing 4-0 away to Dinamo Minsk of Belarus in their first leg.

Meanwhile, Progres Niederkorn went down 2-1 away to Russian side Ufa earlier, meaning a re-match with Rangers in the play-off round is still in the balance.
