Stevie May still has to prove himself to the Aberdeen supporters. He hasn't done what he was brought in to do so far. To be fair to him, he's started the game with quite a bit of prominence.

  12. One change each for Liv & Killiepublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Livingston v Kilmarnock (15:00)

One change for Livingston following last week's defeat by Celtic with Steven Lawless replacing Jason Brown.

Just the one change for Kilmarnock also following their win over St Johnstone last week. Mikael Ndjoli replaces Lee Erwin, who is close to joining Tractor Sazi in Iran.

Erwin has flown out to Istanbul to meet with the club's representatives, but Kilmarnock boss Steve Clarke says the deal is not yet done.

“Lee obviously made the decision that it was the best move for his family and his career. Obviously the money is a major fact in that rather than the football change. But obviously it is still ongoing so until it’s finally closed it’s best not to say something that might sound like a goodbye because it is certainly not at that stage yet.”

  13. Two changes for Dundee, May makes first start of season for Donspublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Dundee v Aberdeen (15:00)

Dundee make two changes from their opening-day defeat to St Mirren.

In come Genseric Kusunga and Nathaniel Ralph, with Steven Caulker and Cammy Kerr dropping out.

Aberdeen make just one enforced change from the 1-1 draw with Rangers.

Centre-half Scott McKenna is injured, so manager Derek McInnes reshuffles his back-line, moving Andrew Considine to the centre of defence and Graeme Shinnie to left back.

That means a starting place for Stevie May up front, his first of the season.

  14. 'We want to keep Dedryck' - Rodgerspublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    FT: Hearts 1-0 Celtic

Last word from Rodgers, who has revealed Dedryck Boyata missed today's game with an illness and could also sit out Tuesday's Champions League qualifier with AEK Athens in Greece.

He is eager to hold on to the Belgium centre-back amid interest from Fulham.

"The club were trying to organise a deal, but Dedryck’s agent wasn’t so keen for him to sign a deal before the World Cup, which you can understand," Rodgers told BBC Radio Scotland.

"They have been in discussion but nothing concrete as of yet. The plan is for him to stay here and I don’t see that changing. We don’t want to lose him. It’s very difficult to get good centre-halves and he’s really developed."

  15. 'I love my life at Celtic' - Rodgerspublished at 14:58 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    FT: Heart 1-0 Celtic

Brendan Rodgers has been frustrated by Celtic's failure to sign the players he wants this summer - notably John McGinn, who has moved from Hibernian to Aston Villa.

But the Celtic manager says any suggestions he has made "ultimatums" to the club's board, or is ready to leave, are well wide of the mark.

"I can’t go on about players we want in," he told BBC Radio Scotland. "Of course we want quality players but there’s still improvement in this squad, this team, lots of young players so we’ll continue to work with and improve them.

"I love my life here. Despite all reports, there’s talk of ultimatums with the board, I don’t work that way, my communication is very open, so that’s certainly not the case.

"And I’d read somewhere else about walking away. I’ve got three years left on my contract here and I love every day of my life at Celtic.

"All I want is for us to improve every aspect of the club. It’s a disappointing result for us. We’d a good performance in midweek and drew, but you move on in football very quickly."

  16. 'We picked a strong enough team' - Rodgerspublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    FT: Hearts 1-0 Celtic

Quickly before we get into the 15:00 matches, some reaction from Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers on BBC Radio Scotland.

"It was a very close game. It’s never a fluent game here and physically we were good in terms of standing up to a lot of the direct play into the box.

"We’re disappointed in the timing of the goal because we started the second half well but we gave away the ball under no pressure and in fairness Lafferty finishes it very well. We’re then chasing the game, nice and compact Hearts, and we haven’t broken through them.

"We still had a strong enough team. We always pick a team to win and we didn’t do that."

  17. Celtic 'losing their fear factor'published at 14:55 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    FT: Hearts 1-0 Celtic

    Michael Stewart
Former Scotland midfielder on BBC Sportsound

All of this starts to take the shine off Celtic - the fear factor starts to go. When you go to places like Tynecastle, Easter Road, Pittodrie, these are really tough games.

Internally, when there are no fresh faces coming through the door, when you keep looking at the same faces to bring a moment of magic and they're not doing it, the seeds of doubt are sown.

  18. Plastic fantastic for Livi?published at 14:54 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Livingston vs Kilmarnock

A debut for the Livingston plastic pitch in the Premiership. It’s getting plenty of water sprayed on it at the moment. Livingston player boss Kenny Miller hopes it can help his side.

“It’s a different surface to grass obviously, sometimes the ball reacts a little bit differently but particularly when it’s not wet. It’ll be one over the next few weeks where we’re getting used to it, but if it can give us any kind of little advantage it will be beneficial to us.”
