Abdul Said: It was coming. Arsenal are gifting the ball every time in their own half since they scored.

Joshua KH: As usual, Arsenal attack looking lively, defence poor. Not too big a change from Wenger days.

Paul Harris: Really thought Emery would get us sorted defensively. Frankly we look worse.

Arsenal had been so comfortable, but that is the best bit of play we have seen from Fulham.

The visitors played no part in that, a sharp and incisive move finished off by a little chip from Schurrle.

Schurrle's goal is the final meaningful act of an entertaining half.

Two sides who are trying to play football, going at each other. More of the same please.

    Andre Schurrle

    No mistake this time!

Andre Schurrle makes instant amends for his miss with a superb, dinked finish over Leno from 12 yards.

Nacho Monreal is partly to blame for it, though. His poor pass gifted possession back to Fulham to allow the move that saw Luciano Vietto set up Schurrle. A fourth assist for Vietto - the joint most in the league.

    Good chance for the Cottagers!

Sessegnon nips in to reach the ball ahead of Bellerin and sets up Schurrle but he snatches at his shot from an angle and slices it wide. The German is a lot better than that demonstrates.

Mitrovic is almost in. He gets goal-side of Holding to try and collect a forward ball, but Leno is out quickly to gather.

Can someone please tell me how Steve Claridge thinks Arsenal aren't top four? Have a look at the table! Everyone loves Tottenham but even without today's game it's not like we're a million miles away is it?

Getting a bit sloppy now, Fulham. They have a chance to forge something down the right but Luciano Vietto's pass to Cyrus Christie is poor and dribbles out of play ahead of the attacking full-back.

Arsenal's tactics at Craven Cottage are thinly veiled, but Fulham are struggling to cut out attacks down the left.

Mitrovic is not in the game enough now. He's isolated up there, feeding off scraps.

Meanwhile, Arsenal look a threat every time they come forward.

Alex Iwobi almost commits a cardinal sin. His ball back towards his own goal is very loose and briefly looks to have given Schurrle a chance, but the German is just unable to get on to it.

    Fulham 0-1 Arsenal

Fulham have now joined Huddersfield and Cardiff on 17 goals conceded - the joint worst record in the division.

If they don't do something here, they could easily be outright on their own by the end of play.

  17. 'Fulham didn't react to the warning signs'published at 12:34 British Summer Time 7 October 2018

    Fulham 0-1 Arsenal

    Steve Claridge

We have identified the space for Arsenal down the left time and time again, and this time they do make the most of it.

When you've got Christie pushed on so much, the gaps and spaces do appear down the left hand side.

It's a wonderful turn and finish, but the warning signs were there and haven't been heeded from a Fulham perspective.

Arsenal are in the mood now.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan drives an effort from range that is swerving from the moment it leaves his boot and swings wide of goal.

    Worrying times for Fulham.

    Almost 2-0.

Arsenal cut through down the left again as Iwobi finds Welbeck and his low ball is poked towards goal by Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Marcus Bettinelli is the Fulham hero, though, dropping down to block and save his side.

    Lovely finish!

Alexandre Lacazette starts and finishes the move. He spreads play out to Alex Iwobi on the left, who drives to the box and finds Nacho Monreal. His low ball is controlled stone dead by the striker, who then turns in a flash and finishes inside the post.

Quality stuff. Third league goal of the season for the forward.
