Jamu Njagi: If Arsenal concede today you can be sure it'll be a mistake where Granit Xhaka is involved. Otherwise backing Bernd Leno to keep a clean sheet.

Zoe QT Henry: My friend was so certain Ryan Sessegnon would score first he has put all his tips from last night on it. I don't have the heart to tell him he has picked Steven.

    Fulham knock on the door.

Seri fires one from range that is blocked before the ball breaks to Luciano Vietto, whose first-time effort is high and wide.

We're not short of attacking action, though.

Alex Iwobi is a real threat down the Arsenal left. He beats one man and looks to be free, but Tim Ream (again) slides in to stop him.

Again, it is just the final ball for both sides.

Ryan Sessegnon's through-ball to potentially release Mitrovic is over-hit, ending an attack at one end, and then, at the other, Danny Welbeck's pass is cut out by a superb sliding tackle from Tim Ream before it can be poked in.

Loving the revamped Iwobi we are seeing so far this season. Somewhere Uncle Jay-Jay is smiling I'm sure!

    Fulham really do look bright.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is the recipient of a chipped free-kick from Jean Michael Seri into the box but his lashed effort is way, waaaaay over the bar.

Soon after, the forward is the target for a low ball towards the penalty spot but it is just too far ahead of him. Just that final ball lacking at the moment.

Dave Bundy: I'm always so jealous watching Fulham. One of the few truly traditional football grounds left, especially in London. I was gutted when the Hammers left Upton Park, my team but also an amazing place to watch football.

Steve Long: Fulham have started brightly, taking the game to Arsenal. They're passing well and getting in good positions, one pass away from a goal.

Arsenal need to be brave. If you're playing against a defensive three, you want to put them under pressure and make sure they can't play out from the back.

Well played Denis Odoi. Alex Iwobi has a yard and looks to use it to get past the Fulham defender, who keeps stride before drawing a foul from the Arsenal forward to relieve the pressure.

Really good from Nacho Monreal - as he dispossess Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa on the edge of the Fulham box through some tireless pressing - and then really bad from the Arsenal defender as a heavy touch takes the ball out of play before he can cross.

Alexandre Lacazette is down and struggling briefly after having his Achilles trod on by Aleksandar Mitrovic. Thankfully for Arsenal it is just a momentary problem for the forward, who gingerly gets to his feet and continues.

That's twice that Arsenal have threatened to get in down the left. Iwobi could have made more of his opportunity the second time.

    Chances at both ends.

Alex Iwobi's low cross towards Henrikh Mkhitaryan is cut out just before the midfielder can shoot, then Fulham break and Aleksandar Mitrovic sees an effort deflected wide.

The resulting home corner comes to nothing.

Promising start to the game, wouldn't you agree Conor and Steve?

That was a really awkward save for Leno. He had to shift his trajectory after the deflection. Did a really good job, though. Strong hand to block the ball too.

Sean: This could be Mustafi’s last game. Mitrovic will bully him. Also worried Sessegnon will boss Bellerin. Sokratis should be the first name on team sheet for me - he's a leader. Iwobi to score.

Never mind what he can do with his feet. Leno is also pretty useful with his hands. He pulls out a sharp save to deny Luciano Vietto's deflected strike after the Fulham forward had been gifted possession by a very sloppy pass in midfield from Hector Bellerin.

Early touch of the ball for Bernd Leno. He was brought in in part for what he can do with his feet. Petr Cech's injury gives him chance to inject some sweeping into Arsenal's keeping.

First pop at goal comes from Henrikh Mkhitaryan from range but is never troubling recent England call-up Marcus Bettinelli.
