Callum Paterson had a happy knack of scoring important goals in the Championship last season - and he has rediscovered that habit at a very timely moment.
It looked a little scrappy at first glance but, watching it back, the Scotland international did well to shoot so accurately on the turn.
No matter how slowly it crept in, that goal has given Cardiff's noisy fans the belief that a first win of the season might be in their grasp.

That’s not even a chance. Callum Paterson is facing away from goal and he’s thinking 'I’m just going to hit this'. He does and it goes in. Not great defending, though.
Cardiff 3-2 Fulham
Cardiff are appealing for a penalty when a long ball over the top hits the arm of Tim Ream. The defender wasn't looking at the ball to be fair and neither the referee nor assistant deem it worthy of a spot-kick.

It's a woeful tackle, Alfie Mawson has got to do something there. It's so weak from the Fulham defender.
Cardiff could be on for their first win here.
