  2. 'Future out of my control'published at 22:32 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2018

    Huddersfield 1-0 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic to BBC Sport: "We're disappointed we didn't play well enough or show enough intensity, especially in the first 45 minutes.

"We found some improvement but it wasn't enough to equalise.

"They must fight - this is a tough competition. There are 27 games ahead of us, we didn't show a positive reaction and we must be brave and look for improvement. At the moment it is not enough at this level and it's in our hands.

"This is my job, that is it. I know in this kind of situation many things can happen but it is outside of my control. I will follow my plan and work with the team. I must find the solution and other people, if they need to say something they can use some words.

"We know we can play better, show more intensity and be more solid and win the game."

    Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield boss David Wagner speaking to BBC Sport: "Now we're back in the race I'm delighted.

"Both managers said it was an early six pointer. We have this win, which was very important. But it is the first one and now we have to make sure the next one will follow, with this willingness to fight.

"Football-wise it wasn't one of the nicest in the three years since I was in charge but who cares."

  4. Jokanovic: 'I trust in myself'published at 22:27 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2018

    Huddersfield 1-0 Fulham

Fulham coach Slavisa Jokanovic on Sky Sports: "We didn't play the first 45 minutes with enough intensity.

"We started to kick the ball without any sense.

"I don't know why there was a lack of intensity. We are without power and enough intensity for the first 45 minutes. We didn't show the quality too.

"They seem to be a little bit scared.

"We tried to push a few more players forward more, but they didn't find the quality.

"We played many minutes three against three, but then we added one more and noticed the plan wasn't working too badly.

"We had more chances, but not enough for a goal.

On his future: "I trust in myself. People know I've been here for two years and how I work. The process has not started well. There are many games ahead of us. We must improve ourselves.

"I am thinking about my team and myself. Definitely we are not at the best level and are looking for improvement."

Flytrap: I hope Fulham get relegated. You cant just buy a bus load of players just after getting promoted and be expecting miracles. Should av stuck with the original players and then gradually ease one or two quality players over time.

I'm not sure that's a great reason for wanting a team to go down

  7. 'The coach has our backing'published at 22:23 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2018

    Huddersfield 1-0 Fulham

Fulham's Tom Cairney: "We tried the outlet to be Mitro, but they played that quite well. They got the first headers.

"We thought if we got one goal then the tables might turn. We had one that was offside but we didn't create too many chances.

"There's only us and the four walls that can get us out of it.

"The head coach has our backing completely. He turned it around for the club two-and-a-half years ago. It's down to us on the pitch to show him that."

  8. 'One of biggest wins in three years'published at 22:16 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2018

    Huddersfield 1-0 Fulham

    Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield boss David Wagner on Sky Sports: "I don't care who scored it or how we performed. People know we can perform better. The pressure was on for both teams but how we fought - we left everything on the grass.

"It was deserved. First half we were clear and second half we were able to keep them away from our goal.

"This is huge for us. We have the winning feeling back. For sure it is one of the most important wins we've had in the last three years. Everybody needed this belief back. It's massive for us.

"Nothing is more important than this winning feeling, happy faces in he dressing room and in the club and we are back in the race after 11 games.

"When you look at the fixtures in front of us they are teams in and around the area where they'll be open games. Today I think we were the team who really wanted this win.

"The fans are amazing since I arrived three years ago. We are still in the bottom three, we won our first game after six and a half months at home and they really celebrated and cheered the players. You have to pay them back by going over and giving them a wave."

The Hobby Douche: Fulham looked a bit short of ideas today, Huddersfield still looking shy of that goal cutting edge but we got that bit of luck we’ve lacked and we got the 3 points - lets see where we both are in January before making predictions though!

  10. 'I don't care it was an own goal'published at 22:10 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2018

    Huddersfield 1-0 Fulham

Huddersfield's Christopher Schindler on Sky Sports: "I think, especially playing on a Monday night, it was an important game against this opponent. There was a lot of pressure - we did well especially in first half and could have scored more.

"The energy wasn't there as much to keep them away from goal after the break.

On the goal that was initially given to him but then awarded as an Timothy Fosu-Mensah OG: "I thought I had full contact on the goal, but I don't care. It's important we got the three points.

"After last week we had to have a reaction. We missed last week against Watford. If you don't bring passion and aggression you have no chance."
