Leicester City boss Claude Puel, speaking to BBC Sport: "It was difficult with a lot of emotion around the game, during the game and after the game.

"We were unlucky but I was proud of the players' performance because they gave their best in this situation.

"It was important to give our best and there was a lot of emotion. It was a tough week to prepare this game without training sessions and a long journey to Bangkok. The players compensated with desire.

"I would like to congratulate the players because it was difficult. I hope we can continue this response to honour our chairman.

"Of course we are disappointed not to win but I am proud about the performance and mentality. The most important thing is to always give our best. It was a professional attitude. A lot of people at the club have learned about themselves."

Burnley manager Sean Dyche, speaking to BBC Sport:

"To be honest it was difficult for all of us. They gave everything and we had to try and match that, which we did. It was a strange one in that it's very rare for the result to be irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. The game was more about a show of respect.

"The whole build-up to the week was full of respect and feeling from us. It's resonated across football, what has happened."

Leicester City

Leicester City's Marc Albrighton: "This week has been hard. We went to Thailand and paid our respects to Vichai and his family. It is something we felt we wanted to do.

"It is a tough time for everyone but everyone has done their part. Every single person at this club has stuck together.

"It's extraordinary the way the fans have come together. Leicester fans have been brilliant for us and we need them.

"It's going to be a tough road. The lads are emotionally drained. Today was one of the hardest games I have ever played. It's hard to focus."

"Everybody here is emotionally drained," says winger Marc Albrighton in a post-match interview.

"You're tired in your head and your legs, from everything that's happened. It was one of the hardest games I've ever played."

And the Leicester players now follow, many with arms around each others' shoulders.

Slowly the fans begin to leave and head out into the night. It's the end to a very emotional afternoon.

Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha heads out alone into the centre-circle and back towards the dugout now, holding a Thailand flag with messages of support from Leicester fans written on it, taken from the stands.

There are cheers and applause for him as he once again waves to the home faithful who sing:

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha's son Aiyawatt is in tears as he walks around the pitch, Leicester City's fans chanting his father's name.

He is joined by Leicester City's title-winning manager Claudio Ranieri, his predecessor Nigel Pearson and successor Craig Shakespeare. Steve Walsh, director of football in the title-winning season is there, along with former defender Robert Huth and former Argentina midfielder Esteban Cambiasso, who remains a hugely popular figure.

There is sadness but this is also a celebration of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha's vision.

'Vichai, Vichai, Vichai' is the chant from the stands as the players, coaching staff and those three former managers follow behind in a large group. Cheers go up for Claudio Ranieri too.

Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha heads over to the fans by the dugout and applauds and bows his head, he is wiping away tears as he brings his hands together in a very heartfelt thank you gesture.

The supporters here are clapping and cheering him on his way around the pitch as they once again pay tribute to his father Vichai and all his work for the club.

Burnley's players head over to applaud their travelling fans.

The Leicester players are still on the pitch too, greeting Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, son of Vichai.

Claudio Ranieri, Nigel Pearson, Craig Shakespeare have joined them in the centre-circle.
