Burnley's players are also out on the pitch warming up, wearing black training tops.

The ground is full to the rafters as far as I can tell. Around the side of the pitch hundreds if not thousands of scarves are laid out, some of which are carrying personal messages of tribute.

Thousands of fans arrived hours before kick-off to inspect the walls of floral tributes and football shirts from around the globe that are still in evidence around the stadium.

And many more arrived at the end of the "5,000 to One" march from the city centre to the stadium in honour of late Leicester ower Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, while the pitch here is framed by hundreds of Leicester shirts, flags and banners.

Former manager Nigel Pearson and one-time director of football Steve Walsh were among the early arrivals, while as downpour gave way to sunshine a rainbow appeared in the sky near The King Power Stadium.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "It's a really tough day for all concerned. It's tough for ourselves too because we have a professional job to do. But most of all of course it's tough on Leicester and the club's fans, as they remember a popular owner who had done so much for them.

"We do have to get on with the game and we have to be professional, afterwards of course it will go back to total respect.

"Our words of respect are real words, I was brought up not so far away from here and I know there is a real connection with the community. It's incredible the way people have come together to remember him."

Leicester Claude Puel, speaking to BBC Sport: "We were shocked about what happened, but we have seen our togetherness in this situation.

"This week was a tough week, a long journey in Bangkok to support Vichai's family, and to prepare our game today was difficult but it was a good feeling to go together and pay our tributes to our chairman.

"It is not difficult to manage. It is management with different feeling, and we learn a lot about ourselves, the players about their team-mates.

"We cannot forget what happened two weeks ago but we have to find focus and concentration in our play. All the people here can for a few minutes forget their sorrow. It's important to give pleasure to all the people who gave fantastic support and to honour Vichai with our fighting spirit."

On a day to remember - in every aspect - the only thing that might get forgotten is the game.

The emotion before it starts will be all-encompassing.

It will be many Leicester fans' first time back at the stadium, and for all the first opportunity to share their grief together inside.

It's also a day for giving thanks. To Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha for what he did for Leicester City and the city of Leicester, and for the sacrifices of those in the service of their country.

The match? Professionalism and adrenalin will be needed in abundance by the home players after such a draining time - but the occasion will make it hard for Burnley's too.

It will still be raw for the Leicester players. They will still have that feeling within their hearts to put it right for the boss, and I’m sure they will try and do the same thing today. If they can get over the line today it will be an amazing result.

We're set for a really emotional day at Leicester.

It's the first home match since the death of the club's owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, and four other people, in a helicopter crash outside the King Power Stadium on 27 October.

Since midday, Leicester fans have been making their way to the ground in a memorial walk in honour of those killed.

The Foxes are to play the first half of their match with Burnley with their former owner's name embroidered on their shirts.

In the second half they will play with an embroidered poppy in commemoration of Remembrance Sunday, with a two-minute silence to be held before kick-off.
