Yullaw: Didn’t know much about the boy Diogo Dalot before he signed for Man Utd but in the few appearances he’s made, he looks like he real deal.

TheDarknight‏: No Paul Pogba, a much more fluid Man Utd. Anyone who thinks are bigger than @ManUtd, external should be dropped.

Josh Earl‏: Not used to being two goals up as a United fan these days, waiting for a stupid error or something to let Fulham in. Hope I'm wrong!

The way Fulham are playing Josh, I wouldn't be too worried.

It looks like being a good day for Jose Mourinho.

United have led at half-time only once in 13 games. They have not led by two at the break since the Champions League trip to Young Boys on 19 September.

They have not beaten anyone by more than one goal at Old Trafford since the 2-0 win against Swansea on 31 March.

Marcus Rashford got into the penalty area, with a great pass into Juan Mata who just passes into the net. Very good goal from United but for Fulham it is two passes and they concede a goal.

Nemanja Matic has the freedom of Old Trafford, Fulham are letting him have it and he is creating everything at the moment.

So easy. Where is the Fulham defence? Ashley Young passes to Romelu Lukaku, who then releases Marcus Rashford down the left. His pull back finds Juan Mata in acres of space and he calmly slots it into the bottom corner from about 15 yards out.

Fulham look all over the place. Diogo Dalot has so much space on the right wing but nothing comes from it. Then Marcus Rashford, on the left, looks for a square pass to Jesse Lingard, but just puts too much juice on the pass and the chance is wasted.

A very bright start to the game from young Dalot, the 19-year-old right-back who is only making his second Premier League start after a £19m move from Porto in the summer.

Francis Edwards‏: Testament to how bad Fulham are, Ashley Young who has been utterly woeful all season has scored. How embarrassing. If Jones or Smalling what to score Fulham should quit the league.

Shuvam Sinha: That Ashley Young strike was so reminiscent of his double against Arsenal in the 8-2 victory in 2011.

Josh Earl‏: Could get used to this starting brightly malarkey, why didn't anyone tell us about this until now? Great strike, Ashley Young

Another fine cross into the box from Diogo Dalot. It finds Chris Smalling, but his header towards goal flicks off Alfie Mawson. The corner finds its way to Dalot outside the box and he tries a hugely optimistic dropping volley from 30 yards and it goes well over.

At the other end Aleksandar Mitrovic scuffs a low shot from 30 yards out and it is easy for David de Gea.

Ashley Young has not scored since he hit a double at former club Watford last season.

Amazingly he has not scored at Old Trafford since May 2016, in the game against Bournemouth that was rearranged when the initial match was postponed less than an hour before kick-off because of a bomb scare.

It's a major problem for Fulham. To be defensively sound will be Claudio Ranieri's biggest challenge if they are to stay up.

    Mark Lawrenson

Denis Odoi had dealt with the Manchester United attacks down United’s left but it was a nutmeg this time from Ashley Young. What a great strike, hit flat and quick, giving the goalkeeper no chance whatsoever.

    Ashley Young

The hosts lead and it only took 13 minutes.

There seems to be no danger when Ashley Young collects the ball outside the penalty area, to the side of the box. He bustles his way into the area, past Denis Odoi, and curls the ball into the far corner past Sergio Rico. Lovely strike.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is the target for the corner at the back post, the delivery is a bit above him and, under pressure, he can only manage to head the ball straight up and not at goal, before the hosts mop up the danger.

Diogo Dalot is seeing a lot of the ball down the right early on and he gets forward but his first cross is headed clear by Denis Odoi. Dalot then gets a second chance, but once again Sergio Rico is off his line well to gather and extinguish the danger.

John Conway‏: Glad there isn't as much fuss over Pogba being benched. His form lately is dire. Clearly thinking about his next club. Please sell him on in January and be done with it.

George Novell: On Pogba, perhaps the difference this year is no Rooney or Zlatan. Pogba is the big cheese around the place with no one but Mourinho to challenge his ego; they've tried to build this team around him but his performances no longer warrant it.

A bright start from Manchester United. Marcus Rashford holds up the ball and eventually sends it back to Ashley Young. His cross from the left is a decent one, but Sergio Rico does well to claim the ball.
