The corner is dreadful from Christian Eriksen, right off the Sunday league pitch as he hits it straight out at the near post.

That'll do us for the first period. Fulham on course for a key win.

    Spurs missing Harry.

We near injury time. One minute of it. Fulham more than deserve their lead. Now is not the time to ease off...

    Fulham 1-0 Tottenham

Replays show Aleksandar Mitrovic was a touch offside when he converted moments ago.

He's not being put off his task here though as he makes a nuisance of himself again to win a corner.

Fulham are right on it here as Calum Chambers back heels into the path of Ryan Babel, great chance again, brilliant tackle in the box by Jan Vertonghen.

  6. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 41 mins

    Fulham 1-0 Tottenham

The lead is doubled is it? No. Aleksandar Mitrovic puts his hands to his mouth and stares at the linesman.

Lovely stuff from Fulham sees Ryan Babel pick out Andre Schurrle who volleys first time. The save from Hugo Lloris allows Mitrovic to head in. His joy is cut short though.

Christian Eriksen goes long and diagonal but Joe Bryan does well to read it and pull it down. The home side could just do with killing this game for a few minutes to edge closer to the break.

Cyrus Christie steps forward down the right and curls a beautiful ball to the back post... Ryan Babel... DEBUT GOAL... no. He heads over from a great position. If that had been Aleksandar Mitrovic it was in.

Just a reminder that Fulham are looking to win successive home games in the Premier League for the first time since April 2013. There's been plenty to like about them so far in the effort stakes. Whether they can maintain their industry across midfield for the full 90 is another matter...

In comes a Spurs corner, fine defending to clear with Davinson Sanchez looking to get his head on it.

They are key to this working for Spurs - Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen. From an attacking point of view, you'll be surprised how much they're going to be vital to Spurs getting back into this game.

Fulham are patient and eventually get themselves up the pitch to get Joe Bryan into a crossing position. He clips one to the back post and under pressure Danny Rose chests behind.

Regular Jon: Don’t worry Spurs fans, Kane’s out injured but Llorente is finding the net already.

Mark: I'm so confused, Kane gets injured so Spurs loan Llorente out to Fulham? Why would you do that?

Matthew Yorston: I knew Llorente would be the man to score goals in Kane’s absence!

Not a lot in this so far.

Tottenham build possession well though, possibly their best spell of it so far. In comes a cross, poor clearance by Andre Schurrle. Spurs will keep the pressure on... Fulham deep... each time they look to cross or play a through ball a white shirt gets in their face to close space.

A corner... Erik Lamela over it... headed away.

Ryan Babel tries to make a long ball into something and hooks a volley wide but the flag was up.

Back come Spurs, to the left flank again... Dele Alli fouled.

The box loaded like your plate at a carvery... in-swinger... Sergio Rico holds on like he's clutching a gravy boat.

That's three times now that Vertonghen, as Tottenham's furthest forward back-three player down the left, has whipped the ball into the box.

Llorente was a bit unlucky that time. It took a slight deflection so he had to adjust and it ended up being a good save by Rico.

Interestingly it may be worth keeping an eye on that left flank for Spurs.

That's where Jan Veronghen is playing as the left of three central defenders and where Danny Rose is at wing-back. Much of their work has been down that side and Vertonghen has now played two dangerous balls into the box.

Fernando Llorente is everywhere. This time he gets the run on his man to connect with a fine Jan Vertonghen cross. In the middle of the box it's a chance for a man so skilled at heading a football. Sergio Rico palms it into the area. If it had been a yard either side of him he'd have struggled.

Fulham have got themselves into a compact shape but they don't want to drop too deep. They want to keep that pressure on, keep driving at Tottenham, because that's how they got their joy.

  19. Postpublished at 21 mins

Fulham will be very happy so far but a sloppy pass in midfield nearly costs them dear.

Dele Alli steals it, slides in Erik Lamela and he tries to square for Fernando Llorente but puts too much on it.

You simply cannot lose the ball in those kind of areas.

Aleksander Pagels: Spurs' statistics of 16 wins, 6 defeats and no draws sums up their season. When they win they're brilliant, title-contenders. When they lose they're abject, hardly Europa League material. They seem to have no middle level.

Shane Daly: I honestly don't see Spurs getting 3 points today. Look at what has happened to Real Madrid since Ronaldo left. Spurs will be lucky if they finish fourth in the league. I'm just being realistic.

Rob Alderman: Kane's absence is a chance for Alli to really show he is a leading Premier League midfielder. Can't help but feel his form isn't consistent enough to speak of him in the same breath as De Bruyne, Pogba et al. Be interesting to see how he goes.
