A ball is played into Andy Robertson who, surprisingly, flicks it back for Fabinho when clear in on goal. Fabinho's blistering effort flies back into Robertson and Julian Speroni saves the deflection.

Now that would have been a goal they would have never, ever been able to repeat.

Then, a lovely ball is played in from Andy Robertson but Virgil van Dijk mistimes his header and it goes wide.

It's still all Liverpool, despite that goal.

That is absolutely incredible. Liverpool tried the high press, but Palace kept calm, played through it and got down the left hand side. That is the game plan absolutely summed up, it's a super goal and a super break. The manager is absolutely delighted, the plan has worked perfectly.

Right then, what will Liverpool's response be to that?

Liverpool get a free-kick just outside the area after James Milner was fouled. Milner steps up to take it himself.

His free-kick falls for Virgil van Dijk in the area but he heads over.

A corner has been awarded though, it must have taken a deflection off Cheikhou Kouyate. Comes to nothing.

Another chance for Liverpool.

Another spell of Liverpool possession in the Palace box as a cross is put in, headed for Mohamed Salah. It's just a touch high for the Egyptian but it falls towards the back.

Naby Keita and Andy Robertson both go for the same ball and both miss it. Top communication there. Not.

There have been 20 minutes since Crystal Palace have been this far up the field! They will expect that, but need to make some capital when they get here, and get the ball up to Zaha

Palace have started to come into this a little more with a bit of action around Alisson's box. They can't find the chance to shoot, though.

James Milner puts in a cross from right and it's turned awkwardly behind.

He takes the corner himself and finds Sadio Mane in the box, but his header is easily saved by Julian Speroni.

Sane has scored six goals in nine appearances against Crystal Palace.

I don't envy Alisson right now - he may be dressed as the sun in his yellow highlighter-esque kit but he must be freezing at Anfield today.

I'm pretty sure he's only had one touch of the ball in this opening 18 minutes.

Every piece of movement is quick from Liverpool. They are zipping it about and moving players around. Crystal Palace have a problem, Zaha is not following Milner when he goes and breaks down the right, and he is getting into loads of space in dangerous areas.

Liverpool are all over Palace right now, Roy Hodgson's men just can't keep hold of the ball.

Sadio Mane plays a ball for Mohamed Salah to chase but it's too long and goes out of play.
