A first sight of some Firmino trickery as he twists and turns outside the box. Andy Robertson makes a run on the overlap with Firmino ignores him, takes the ball onto his right foot and goes for glory.

It lides over the bar but that would have been some goal had it gone in.

No one has told James Milner he's playing right-back! A brilliant ball through to Matip, they are getting everybody forward and it will be waves of attack all afternoon for Palace.

Constant Liverpool pressure now, but Palace are holding firm so far.

Naby Keita sends a ball flying into the box after spotting Sadio Mane's run, but the ball is intercepted before it can reach him.

That comes after Fabinho went for the wonder goal from outside the box, but his effort was blocked by Cheikhou Kouyate.

Palace have started confidently on their travels, but Liverpool have started to take control, though they're yet to put any real pressure on the visitors.

Fabinho finds James Milner but his cross is cleared. Jordan Henderson picks it up and puts it in towards Andy Robertson at back but he misses the header.

Fabinho and Henderson will sit in midfield but the four in front of them have been all over the place, it is almost settling down as a 4-2-4, I've watched all of them in all the positions so far here.

Andy Robertson - fresh from signing a new contract at Anfield - starts the first attack for Liverpool with a long ball towards the box, but Palace clear.

James Milner collects the ball on the right, plays it into towards Mohamed Salah but he lets the ball slip under his foot.

Then, Robertson plays another cross in from the left, but it's easily collected by Julian Speroni.

No Roy Hodgson team has ever conceded a Premier League goal against Liverpool at Anfield.

Three goalless draws and a 1-0 victory - that win coming while he was West Brom boss in 2012.

The last team to beat Liverpool in a Premier League game at Anfield won't be given a chance by many this time - but then Palace weren't at Manchester City in December either. I, for one, won't be quite so quick to write them off again.

With more points away than home, and a clean sheet tally bettered only by the top four, Roy Hodgson's team command respect.

The Eagles' remarkable return of three wins from their last four games away to Liverpool further rams that home and underlines it.

Every Liverpool victory takes them closer to that first title since 1990, but does that bring extra pressure that could affect them? Not yet.

Just a shame he's injured, Reds fans.

And for those of you who, like me, had him in your fantasy team...
