Henrikh Mkhitaryan leads an Arsenal break, he has acres of field to run in to but what a poor ball out to Mesut Ozil and the opportunity is lost.

Arsenal fans will want to see the steel, desire and resolve that they lacked in Wenger's dwindling years. If they can show some fight in this second half, who knows? They are not out of this game yet.

A new era for Arsenal but they've been outclassed by Manchester City. It was always going to be the worst possible start for Emery’s team to have to face and they have looked very nervous.They should be much further behind but the positive news for them is that they're not and they can go again after half time.

City have been totally dominant and should be out of sight. They have been wasteful to be honest. Emery should be thankful that Arsenal are still in the game. Get them in at half time, regroup and take their chance in the second half.

Mahrez does really well there. He drives inside and bends it agonisingly just outside that far post. Man City could and maybe should have been out of sight in this first half.

Arsenal fans have to be patient though. It's going to take time.
