  1. HALF-TIME Dundee 0-0 Ayr Unitedpublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

Many might have picked Dens as the place for a shock this afternoon and Ayr are going some way to pull one off.

The Championship side have had the better opportunities, with Lawrence Shankland at the heart of everything.

He had two early shots deflected just wide before setting up Andy Murdoch for the best chance of the half, but goalkeeper Jack Hamilton did well to push his side footed effort away.

The home fans have had little to shout about, but Adil Nabi curled one close and Jean Alassane Mendy forced a good save from Ross Doohan.

Neil McCann will want more from his side after the break.

Every time Gary Mackay-Steven gets the ball, he just goes by the full-back with ease. It's all Aberdeen, it's all one-way traffic and they can score more if they put their mind to it

The Dunfermline centre-halfs have coped admirably with Uche Ikpeazu. They've been immense. They've actually bullied Ikpeazu, a monster of a man, which isn't something I thought I'd say this season

  11. Exciting times at East End Parkpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Dunfermline Athletic 0-0 Hearts

    Brian McLauchlin
BBC Sport Scotland at East End Park

The match at East End Park has flown by with both teams playing slick attacking football on a pitch that has been helped with the light drizzle falling.

The large crowd are enjoying the match with the emphasis on playing the fall forward at the earliest opportunity in what is a true cup-tie atmosphere.

Faissal El Bhaktoui looks particularly alert for the home side, while Uche Ikpeazu at the other end is posing problems for the Pars trio of defenders.

  12. Tale of two strikerspublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

Queen of the South 0-1 St Johnstone

Queen of the South have had the stuffing knocked out of them following a goal from Saints' Tony Watt against the run of play.

Stephen Dobbie has been Queen of the South's main man at the other end and continues to create chances to try and get an equaliser.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:35 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

Queen of the South 0-1 St Johnstone

Gary Harkins weaves into the Saints penalty area and must surely score if he lets fly.

But the midfielder elects to pass it and his side have to settle for a corner.

From the corner, Zander Clark does superbly to save from Lyndon Dykes.

  14. Postpublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Aberdeen 3-0 St Mirren

St Mirren have had a nightmare start, but they are still threatening on occasion, especially through Nicolai Brock-Madsen, who forces a good save from Joe Lewis.

Matty Willock then heads over from the resultant corner.

    Tony Watt

Tony Watt grabs his third goal of the season and it comes against the run of play.

Murray Davidson, making his 300th appearance for Saints, has a wayward shot, but striker Watt is on hand to divert it into the net.

  16. goal

GOAL Aberdeen 3-0 St Mirrenpublished at 15:27 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Dundee 0-0 Ayr United

    Danny Johnson

    Kenny Crawford
    BBC Sport Scotland

Superbly executed goal by Motherwell's Danny Johnson. Curtis Main was patient then precise with his low, cut-back cross from the left and Johnson sweeps it perfectly low into the net from 10 yards. The former Gateshead forward has been lively and deserves his second goal of the season.

    Graeme Shinnie

Gary Mackay-Steven and Stevie May combine in a sweeping move on the right hand side and the cross finds Dons captain Graeme Shinnie to head a second for the home side.
