Thistle get the second half under way. Can the Championship side come back from a goal behind against the odds against the holders? It hasn't looked like it so far, but it only takes one goal.

  4. Coulibaly back in from the cold?published at 13:30 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

Souleymane Coulibaly is an interested - and interesting - observer at Firhill.

The 23-year-old striker was a big hit with his powerful running for Kilmarnock after leaving Peterborough in summer 2016 and won a move to Al-Ahly for a reported £800,000 within six months.

However, another six months and he left the club claiming he did not feel safe in Egypt.

Al-Ahly took Coulibaly to a Fifa commission and he was forced to pay a sizeable amount of compensation.

Since then, his football career has been on hold. Could it be revived by Partick Thistle? He has been on trial with Alan Archibald's side.

Alan Archibald will be pleased with the effort. Partick Thistle just lack a bit of support to Kris Doolan at times

That Ntcham shot almost dipped in. Again, good link-up play, Sinclair into Ntcham. He shifts it on to his right foot and whips it - just not enough dip to find the net

  9. HALF-TIME Partick Thistle 0-1 Celticpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

Celtic are on track to end their run of three games without a win.

The League Cup holders, with half a team of changes from their midweek Champions League defeat by AEK Athens, look to be on their way to the quarter-finals thanks to a goal from Leigh Griffiths.

Thistle had a difficult start to the season after their relegation from the Premiership and shedding a few of their best players, but they will be relatively pleased with their first-half showing as they seek a third straight win.

Celtic should be further ahead though.

Rogic is a midfield player, but he's had three shots at goal now and he's hit the target every time. He continues his runs, he doesn't stop. That's the type of the player he is: a constant threat
