  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 23mins

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Rangers

It's heating up out there and Daniel Candeias, minutes after coming on as a substitute, is next to be booked for pulling down Jordan Jones.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 21mins

  4. YELLOW CARD Gary Dickerpublished at 20mins

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Rangers

There's been a few heavy challenges flying in and Kilmarnock's Gary Dicker earns the first yellow card for thumping into Andy Halliday.

  5. Murphy injury 'a blow' for Rangerspublished at 12:49 British Summer Time 19 August 2018

    Steven Thompson
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

That would be a big blow to Rangers if it's a bad injury. It looked innocuous. I don't know whether he's twisted his knee as he's fallen. He certainly was in a lot of discomfort

  6. Candeias replaces Murphypublished at 16mins

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Rangers

Jamie Murphy is receiving lengthy treatment for what looks like a knee injury for the former Brighton winger as Daniel Candeias comes on in his place.

Murphy is eventually led away on a stretcher clutching his face in agony.

  7. 'VAR would have cleared that up'published at 12:46 British Summer Time 19 August 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Rangers

    Paul Mitchell
    BBC Sport Scotland

There is a man blocking the view of the assistant. In real time, it's almost impossible to be 100% sure it's a goal. If we want to avoid this, invest in VAR. If not, these things will happen. Easy to be wise with slow motion replays.

  8. Rangers worry over Murphypublished at 13mins

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Rangers

Rangers are down to 10 men as Jamie Murphy is left injured after a tangle of legs with Kirk Broadfoot.

  9. 'Morelos should have scored'published at 12:45 British Summer Time 19 August 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Rangers

    Tam McManus
Former Hibernian striker and BBC Scotland pundit

    Quote Message

Scott Boyd is clearly blocking the linesman’s view, unfortunately for Rangers. Ball looks over the line. Morelos should have burst the net anyway and took away any doubt

  10. Postpublished at 12mins

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Rangers

Stephen O'Donnell looks to have set Kris Boyd clear behind the Rangers defence with a long ball, but the former Scotland striker is stopped in his tracks by an offside flag.

    That was touch and go.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 11mins

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Rangers

It's been a lively start as you would expect from a cup tie and it's Killie's turn to go close.

Chris Burke curls in a free-kick that looks like it might dip under the crossbar before goalkeeper Wes Foderinham turns it over the crossbar.

  12. And Morelos should score...published at 12:40 British Summer Time 19 August 2018

That is a sitter. An absolute sitter from Alfredo Morelos. Just put your foot thorough it

  13. CLOSE! And controversialpublished at 6mins

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Rangers

What a chance for Rangers. Debutant goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann fails to hold a Ryan Kent cross and Alfredo Morelos has the goal at his mercy.

Although the striker miscues his shot, Stephen O'Donnell clears in the nick of time.

TV pictures suggest that was mighty close to being over the line, but Morelos was the only one claiming.

  14. Gerrard 'not happy' early onpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 19 August 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Rangers

    Gordon Smith
    Former SFA chief executive

    Quote Message

Steven Gerrard's been giving a bit of instruction he's obviously not happy. I think he's trying to tell players about their positioning mainly. He's not happy at how this game has opened up with Kilmarnock exerting the early pressure

  16. Boyd and Burke to the forepublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 19 August 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Rangers

Killie make a promising start and, after James Tavernier pushes over Eamonn Brophy, Kris Boyd has a free-kick charged down as he looks to score against his former club.

The visitors fail to clear and Chris Burke's corner is cleared.

Boyd and Burke are two of three former Rangers players in the Killie line-up, the other being veteran defender Kirk Broadfoot.

  18. Goals hard to come by?published at 12:29 British Summer Time 19 August 2018

    Kilmarnock v Rangers (12:30)

Both sides go into today's tie at Rugby Park unbeaten over 90 minutes this season.

Rangers are on a run of eight games without a loss, while Kilie's run is six if you include the opening League Cup group game against St Mirren, who took the extra point available for the penalty shoot-out.

Steven Gerrard's side have, though, only won one of their four away games, with two of their three draws ending goalless.

Meanwhile, Kilmarnock have not lost a goal in open play in their three home outings.

Rangers will have to end that run to progress today without the penalty shoot-out that follows extra-time.

  19. Killie know how to beat Rangerspublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 19 August 2018

    Kilmarnock v Rangers (12:30)

Rangers have not won in their last three visits to Rugby Park, with Steve Clarke's side getting the better of the Glasgow team twice in four meetings last season, including a 2-1 win the last time the Ibrox outfit were there in December.

However, Rangers came out on top the last time the sides met - 1-0 success at Ibrox in May.
