Once again Ryan Jack having another fine game in the middle of this pitch for Rangers. He continues to frustrate Motherwell on the ball and drive his side forward when the home side lose possession. These are exactly the kind of games he loves.

Kyle: Brilliant game this match reminds me of Hibs 5-5 Rangers. Whatever happens this season, Rangers are going to be entertaining to watch. What a match. Great character from Rangers too.

A breathless first half full of fight, but there’s also been plenty of skill and intrigue to chew on in the Lanarkshire rain.

Rangers have been so strong against a Motherwell side who have tried to stop the visitors playing. Lafferty’s presence beside Morelos has pulled the Motherwell back three from pillar to post and back again.

Great mentality from all 22 on the pitch. More of the same in the second 45, please.

    Motherwell 2-3 Rangers

Rangers have the edge at the break after a breathless first half.

Motherwell led twice with Danny Johnson and Carl McHugh on target but Kyle Lafferty twice brought the visitors level before Ovie Ejaria put Rangers in front.

Both sides have brought a lot to this match so far. An interesting second half awaits.

    Lee McCulloch

That is why Steven Gerrard brought Kyle Lafferty back to the club. It was a terrific delivery from Tavernier and that was Lafferty doing what he does best, and why he has a great affinity with the fans. But more concerns over the back three for Motherwell, who are struggling to cope with the crosses raining in.
