    Glenavon v Glentoran

It's been a strange week for Glenavon as they recorded a first home league win since Boxing Day by beating 10-man Ballymena United 4-0 last weekend but followed that up by crashing out 1-0 to Championship side Dergview in the League Cup second round.

Gary Hamilton's men occupy a heady second place in the table thanks to three consecutive victories but face a Glentoran outfit who have taken seven points from a possible nine.

The addition of former Celtic midfielder John Herron to the squad should provide a further boost to 'the men from the east'.

    Five-match Premiership programme

Well, if you support a team which sports royal blue as part of their kit I suspect most of you are pretty happy with your side's start to the league season.....sorry Dungannon fans.

Four matches and one month in unbeaten Linfield sit at the top of the Irish Premiership table, with Glenavon a point behind thanks to three wins on the bounce and Coleraine in third, one further point adrift.

Five games up for decisions today, with Glenavon against fourth-placed Glentoran at Mourneview Park looking to be the pick of the bunch.

Elsewhere, Linfield host Ards, Institute aim to continue their encouraging start to the campaign at home to Dungannon Swifts, Newry City entertain Cliftonville and Warrenpoint continue to chase their first point against weekly 'away day' travellers Ballymena United.

Expect the usual recipe of drama, goals and excitement regularly served up by the Irish Premiership today and then there's a rather tasty dish left over on the menu for Monday as champions Crusaders renew their rivalry with last season's runners-up Coleraine at Seaview.

Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, stay with us to see how 'matchday five' in the Irish Premiership unfolds...
