Erin did well to get on the end of the pass and get by the defender but the recovery tackle was excellent.

We're just trying to play this long ball all the time - we were getting so much success in the first half by playing shorter passes and getting it wide. Now we're resorting to this long-ball stuff..we're talking about one in 10 where we're managing to keep possession,.

Erin Cuthbert is such an effervescent nuisance in the Scotland attack.

The little striker latches onto a long ball, battles her way into the box, and only a cracking cover-tackle from Arbiona Bajraktari halts her progress towards goal.

The game's got very, very scrappy. I'd like to see the Scotland players show more composure, get the tempo up and move it from side to side. It's been , 40, 50, 60-yard passes the last few minutes. If we get back to doing the basics that got us success in the first half, we'll be in a better position to score.

We're going for the killer ball all the time and it isn't on. They have enough players behind the ball. We need to go sideways, if it's not working, come back out and go to the other side. Someone will have informed Scotland it's a draw in Poland and if it stays like that, we really need another goal. That's all the motivation they will need. We need to score because the worst thing that could happen is Switzerland drop points and we fail to win the game.

Scotland need a goal - while hoping Switzerland continue to be held in Poland - to reach the World Cup for the first time.

That lack of concentration will cost the Scots who dominated much of the half. There’s too much at stake for them to switch off so expect to see them up their tempo and push up the park when they return after the break.

The one chance that sticks out in my mind was Erin Cuthbert's chance. She goes past two or three players. I thought she might have lifted it over the goalkeeper but she just hits it straight at Rexhepi. She might have stumbled slightly just before hitting it.

The pitch is huge and we're getting a lot of space out wide. It's about the delivery - from a winger's perspective, if we've not got the biggest centre-forwards, you've got to pick a player out.

Switzerland sit 0-0 at half-time against Poland. As things stand the Swiss would go through as group leaders, with Scotland monitoring results elsewhere to find out if a point would be enough to take them into the play-offs.

Sophie Howard has got to match her runner there. It's just a poor, poor goal defensively in such a big game, at this time in the match. You can't take any chances, you must match your runners and get into half-time with a 1-0 lead.

After dominating, it's bitterly disappointing, but it's not finished yet. We just need that bit of composure to create the chances.

Scotland will be furious. After Kim Little's ninth-minute opener, they've completely dominated this game, and should be several goals to the good.

Lizzie Arnot, Erin Cuthbert, Jane Ross, Emma Mitchell and Little again have all gone close.

But Shelley Kerr's side have been made to pay for their wastefulness. Megi Doci gathered a lofted ball into the Scots' box, cruised away from Sophie Howard, and thundered her shot beyond Lee Alexander.

It's all-square in Albania, and it remains goalless in Poland where Scotland's group rivals Switzerland are in action.

Viona Rexhepi is having some debut. The Albanian goalkeeper produces another excellent stop as Emma Mitchell rasps a long-range drive on goal.

Erin did brilliantly, showed great pace, fainted to shoot, then maybe showed a bit too much composure by trying to side-foot the shot instead of being ruthless and finding the side of the net.
