Scotland turned in a very impressive performance to beat group leaders Switzerland in Paisley last week.

The 2-1 victory wasn't quite heavy enough to unseat the Swiss at the summit, but it did keep Shelley Kerr's side in with a shout of doing just that today.

  2. 'This campaign feels different'published at 15:36 British Summer Time 4 September 2018

Scotland defender Jennifer Beattie has racked up over 100 caps in 10 years of international duty, and says this campaign "feels different" to those in which she's played before.

"There’s an amazing atmosphere among the girls and we’re all playing a style of football we enjoy playing," Beattie told BBC Scotland.

"It’s just been a pleasure on and off the pitch, a change for the better, so hopefully we can end this on another amazing high as qualifying for the Euros was hands down one of my favourite experiences in a Scotland shirt."

The mood in the Scottish camp has been quite confident, quite defiant. There's young, enthusiastic talent coming through, the Erin Cuthberts that don't look scared of anything.

Scotland beat Albania 5-0 back in October, but boss Shelley Kerr says that brings a different kind of pressure - almost more pressure. If Switzerland slip up and Scotland don't take care of business, they've blown it for themselves.

The players won't know what's happening between Poland and Switzerland, and Kerr says she doesn't want to know either.

  4. How it stands...published at 15:31 British Summer Time 4 September 2018

Albania Women v Scotland Women (16:00)

A huge afternoon beckons for Scotland Women as they target a first-ever place at the World Cup finals.

Shelley Kerr's side are level on points with qualifying group leaders Switzerland heading into this final round of fixtures.

The seven group winners qualify automatically, while the four best runners-up enter the play-offs for the remaining spot.

To snatch automatic qualification, Scotland must better Switzerland's result today. The Swiss play Poland away.

A win or a draw for Scotland in Albania should at the very least take them into the play-offs.

Albania are fourth in the group with five defeats from seven outings, including a 5-0 thumping in Paisley back in October.
